I ordered Christmas cards from their…

I ordered Christmas cards from their joint company Snapfish. They came all bent up with a line down the front and back of every card. I sent them two emails with photos of the damage. No response. Then went to their chat section and she said I was too late. If you just answered my emails, we could have resolved this. Now I won’t order from Shutterfly or Snapfish.

What a waste of money

I have had a Shutterfly account for years. Having ordered several items from them over the years. When I received the notification email from them that I had to order something or I will lose access to my photos stored with them, I ordered our Christmas Cards from them. Not only were the cards incorrect when they arrived, the "replacement" order was a SINGLE CARD and they emailed again saying that I had to buy something or they will shut off access to my photos. When I called to inquire about why I was getting that message, they informed me that I had used the wrong email address and they were unwilling to merge the two accounts so I would not lose access to my photos. Not only was I forced to purchase overpriced cards from them, they screwed them up and now they are telling me that I will still lose access to my photos and they refused to refund my money. I will never use their services again. There are too many competitors out there with better service and prices.

Big Mistake using them

Big Mistake using them. I'd used Costco for years for Christmas cards and they 'replaced' it with Shutterfly. After they harassed me through email with all sorts of special offers, I decided to go ahead and use Shutterfly this year. They even had a promotion code for 50% off and offered free shipping. Turns out the free shipping would have landed the Christmas cards on my doorstep on the 1st of January. For before Christmas, the cheapest was $13.95. And for some reason, when I applied the 50% off promo code, they told me it wouldn't work for my order. I'll never order from them again.

Free shipping a lie

Saw advertisements on tv. Never said minimum order just code free shipping. Ordered two items. At checkout no place for code for free shipping. Needed for Christmas. Customer service said there’s a minimum order. I would have ordered more had they stated that anywhere. Never ordering again. Deleted app

We ordered invites to a party and they…

We ordered invites to a party and they only printed one side. When calling to ask what happened, they insisted on telling us printing was never available on the otherside. Even though you have to approve your text before oedering. Then they insisted on only giving store credit instead of refunds. They finally did refund and make us reorder again. 2nd order was late. The most important part has yet to arrive and now looks to be expected over a week late again. The envelope inserts did arrive but no envelopes or the invites which may or may not ever show. But will be too late to be sent out. This company has been a complete failure all around.

Less than one star

Less than one star, it's been a year I returned a calendar a year ago where they made a calendar that was sloppy and pictures uneven i called to let them know sent it back I paid for postage which was $7.00 still no word I will never ever as long as I breathe will I ever order anything from shutterfly I want my $35.00 plus $7.00 for postage

Scammed

Scammed! Ordered calendars as gifts. The last two pages came blank and the company’s solution is to have you pay for their mistakes. Coupon for free items you have to pay the ridiculous taxes and shipping fees again. They sent it wrong, they should be covering all costs.

FANTASTIC COMPANY!

FANTASTIC COMPANY!! I don't understand how they have any bad reviews. I have worked with them multiple times and every project is a breeze. If there are any issues and you reach out to customer service, they are always very fast to help resolve. 10/10 company!!

The Outdated Website From Hell

I was able to download and place my six photos to my liking on the card I selected. Easy-peasy. I then typed my Christmas message on the back and moved on to the envelope and addressing. That was a nightmare. I wrote out my rather long message and then continued on to envelope. I selected return address. When I went back to check that everything was there, the writing disappeared. I couldn’t find the free addressing. I rewrote the back of the card three times. Finally the fourth time it stayed but it selected a liner for the envelope, which I didn’t want and wouldn’t let me keep my 50 percent off discount! So my order came to $265.00. US! I called today since they were closed yesterday and said there was nothing they could do but offer me something from promotions and they would get back to me by email in 48 hours. I am DONE with Shutterfly! They need to upgrade their website so the envelope selection and the writing on the back is consumer friendly. I do many things on line and this website is awful. Please update it so people can review and go back and change. Then there was a little box at the bottom that said free addressing but when you click on it nothing happened.

Terrible

Terrible, just terrible. They lost my order twice. Order never arrived. I waited almost 3 weeks and no contacted me. If I didn’t check BOTH times my package would have never arrived. Safe yourself time, money and stress. Don’t shop here.

Product Not Deilvered After 2 Attempts

While the representatives were nice, ultimately I did not get my product on time after a month delay. Ordered a custom mug in the first week of November, 2025. After noticing it wasn't moving from UPS after 3 weeks, I contacted support. This was a gift that HAD to be delivered by Dec 3, or it would be pointless. They happily setup a new request to ship it and have it sent no later than Dec 1. Today's the day and I checked the tracking. UPS reported it DAMAGED. I contacted support, and now the earliest they can ship it is Dec 10, and all they were willing to do was refund the shipping cost. Now, What happens at UPS is not Shutterfly's fault. I understand that. But at the end of the day, if their product can't reach the consumer's hands within a reasonable amount of time (and after 2 attempts), then it becomes Shutterfly's problem. I cannot trust this company to be reliable on sending products on time and undamaged, and will not be using them again.

Decent process - poor International posting options

Found the process of creating card simple, intuitive and easy. Dont bother though trying to use their service to send cards internationally. Unable to load non US postcodes - and very long tech support process ending with 'sorry we cant help you'

Quality Control Issue & Inept Customer Service

I have used Shutterfly prior - generally with no issues, except perhaps around envelopes (extra/missing) This last Holiday Card order will be my last and will go back to SnapFish/Tiny Prints who has far superior quality and customer service.I placed an order for 80 holiday cards/envelopes. I received 58 cards and 79 envelopes. What the heck Shutterfly, who is processing your orders? I had to connect 3 separate times via the 'chat' for customer service - the last agent finally taking care of my issue given I had to place an additional order for cards to cover all 27% missing. The fact that they could literally send me an order with that many cards missing in and of itself will have me never order from them again. Having to talk with 3 different agents to resolve, the first two not being very clear and one disconnecting the chat prematurely is the second reason I will never use them. Costco should think about their association with this company given they generally have excellent QC and customer service.

Apparently no quality checks

Apparently no quality checks. I have found at least three cards with a missed trim…big uneven black or white stripesat the top or bottom edge of the card. I have to pull the cards out of envelopes to check them. I tried customer support via chat. They made a big deal about me keeping the window open, then ended the chat themselves due to a timeout. Awful.

Ugh this company frustrated me so much…

Ugh this company frustrated me so much today!I was expecting my christmas cards yesterday as per the shipping email and they never came. I checked my tracking number and it didn't even exist. I then started a chat with a help agent and he basically just said my order failed and he would re-order the cards. I was so surprised. He didn't specify what happened or anything and to make matters worse, Shutterfly had already charged me for the cards. I said I want them expedited and he said they would arrive december 4th which is cutting it way too close for my liking as I have family that live far away that I would like cards to arrive on time. I then asked for my money back and was told no. If I wanted my money back then I wouldn't get the cards. The agent said the best he could do was not charge me for having the cards expedited. I demanded my money back as well as the cards be shipped and he left the chat and never confirmed anything. My husband went on later and had a different person who helped resolve it better but nevertheles...I expect so much more from such a large company who handles sentimental product. Anyways...I'm annoyed and may not use them again.

No regard for privacy, spam avoidance, or rules beyond the US

I actually had a good service when I bought from them, high quality and no complaints at all. From what I remember, that is - it was about 10 years ago. Recently, they emailed to say if I didn't log in and make an order within 90 days they'd delete my photos. I was like oh, good idea. Digital sustainability and all that. I didn't log in because I wanted them to delete my photos. They sent a couple of reminders, fair enough, some people are bad at emails. Today they sent a highly dodgy email with "ATTN: Your action is required, MyName" as the subject line - and inside, it was just another attempt to get me to buy their photos! None of these emails conformed to GDPR even though I am in Europe and legally they must do this even if they are based in the US. So I logged in to deactivate my account. First, I got stuck with their idiot AI bot who when I said "deactivate account" three times kept thinking I wanted to reset my password. When I kept repeating myself, it passed me to a human who didn't comprehend that deactivate and delete (clearly stated in their support guidelines) are different. I thought fine, I'll delete instead, even better really because I am starting to want nothing to do with these people. The guy then told me to install the app to delete my account! This isn't necessary at all of course. I have now requested a delete, because of course in America half the time you can't just delete. Their original service was completely fine ten years ago. But they've annoyed me in about ten different ways today, in what was otherwise a very irritant-free day! They obviously have no regard for privacy, spam avoidance, or rules beyond the US.

dark and yellow prints

I ordered 127 prints and half went in the trash. The coloring was nothing like the original photos on my phone & uploaded to their website. Prints all had a yellowish tone to them. Shipping on the order was $25 which is outrageous and wasn't even expedited. All they refunded me was $12 and $6 for shipping. Never again.

Bad website, good customer service

They have a good customer service, who gave me credit after the website crashed and I lost all of my work on my photo book. However, they weren't able to restore my work, only give me a credit. Besides their website, they're a good company.

Excessive shipping costs!!!!

The excessive shipping costs is so disrespectful to the customer. Something as simple as adress labels which weight is only oz $7 or more. AND, thats the price for each item, even when shipping the in the same package. Ridiculous

Not checked for quality. Quality unacceptable.

Apparently all automated print out and not checked for quality by a person, because two calendars arrived with the "2026" on the front page cut, the back side prints is unreadable because it is cut. The picture print quality is below average. Very expensive shipping. Not worth the expense vs quality.
