- The code may have expired or reached its maximum usage limit; verify the offer details on RetailCoupons.com before applying.

Cheddars Reviews
Cheddars receives sharply divided opinions from shoppers, with nearly equal numbers of five-star and one-star ratings. Positive reviewers consistently praise specific menu items, particularly the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and fresh baked rolls. Some customers also commend the quality of steak preparation and excellent service at certain locations. However, negative reviews cite significant concerns including declining cleanliness standards (sticky floors, dirty bathrooms), inconsistent food quality and portion sizes (notably shrimp platters with minimal actual shrimp), and poor manager behavior during customer interactions.
The restaurant's performance appears to vary considerably by location. While some locations have impressed even discerning diners with standout service and properly executed dishes, others have disappointed with maintenance issues and staff professionalism problems. Quality control concerns emerge across food preparation and restaurant conditions, suggesting inconsistency in operations that may depend heavily on individual location management.
This place used to be really nice and I loved going there. Lately though, things have gone downhill. Everything feels grimy - the floor is sticky, the bathroom is gross, and the food quality has dropped. I hate to say it, but I'm just telling it like it is.
I'm usually hard to impress when it comes to restaurants, but the Chattanooga location really blew me away. The service was outstanding and the kitchen staff clearly knows what they're doing. It's been years since I've been somewhere where the chef actually understands how to properly cook a steak and takes care to prepare it exactly how you want it. Everything we ordered was delicious. The server gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal without rushing, and he stayed attentive the whole time. I'd definitely recommend this spot. Best restaurant experience I've had in a long time.
One star is actually too generous. The manager at the St Lucie West location was incredibly rude and disrespectful to my girlfriend. She was vaping at the bar, which I know breaks the rules, but the way the manager handled it was completely unacceptable. She used a harsh, condescending tone saying stuff like 'you can't vape in here, I watched you do it three times' in this stern voice like my girlfriend was a little kid. I work as a manager for a major company, and we would never treat customers that way. That kind of hostile attitude has no place in business. We're done with this restaurant and everything related to Darden restaurants. Your management seriously needs training.
My order was incomplete - I got a shrimp platter but there were only about five actual shrimp and the rest was just fried batter. This never happened before, so I'm not sure if it's because I did takeout, but I definitely wasn't satisfied with what I got.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The chicken fried chicken is fantastic, and their mashed potatoes and gravy are incredible. The fresh baked rolls are the perfect addition. Simply the best!
I absolutely adore this place! Their chicken fried chicken is the best, and don't even get me started on the mashed potatoes with gravy and fresh rolls. Everything is amazing!
Stopped by the St Lucie West location last Tuesday around 8:30 and it was pretty empty. They put us in the bar area by ourselves. Our server was absolutely terrible - I had to ask for water and napkins, and she never cleared our plates. Once the food finally arrived, the potatoes were ice cold, and there weren't even other customers there to explain the delay. She started sweeping and mopping right next to our table while we were eating. It was awful service from start to finish. I wouldn't go back or tell anyone else to go. The manager offered a free appetizer, which is laughable. The actual food was decent enough, but everything else sucked. Skip this place.
My first visit to this chain went great, so I decided to take my adult daughter there for her birthday along with three other people. Our bill came to over a hundred dollars, but it was a total disappointment. Nobody's food turned out well. The potatoes weren't even warm, the bacon and cheese fries were cold like they'd been sitting around, the herb chicken had no flavor, and even the ribs weren't hot. I honestly can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff was pleasant enough, but the food was just not there that day.
My wife and I are from Pikeville and whenever we get to Cookeville we make a point to go here, sometimes multiple times a month. We've tested out other dining spots in town but honestly nothing stacks up. Their food is always piping hot and tastes like it's fresh made, the cocktails are excellent, and every server and waitress has been lovely and made us feel welcome. I genuinely can't think of anything negative to say. The staff has never been anything but nice and we haven't had a single issue in the two years we've been going. This will always be our favorite place to eat. Really appreciate the consistent great service!
My spouse and I are from Pikeville and we hit up this place almost every time we visit Cookeville, sometimes three times in a single month. We've tried other restaurants in the area but nothing compares. The food stays hot and tastes fresh, the mixed drinks are made perfectly, and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. We've never gotten rude service and there's nothing we've had to complain about. We've been regulars for two years now and it's become our absolute go-to spot. Thanks for consistently delivering such a great experience!
We were traveling through West Virginia and decided to grab dinner in Triadelphia at this location. What a great choice! The service was top notch and the meal was fantastic. I ordered a six ounce sirloin that was cooked exactly right - medium rare, super tender, and juicy. My husband had shrimp that was also delicious. The salad was crisp, fresh, and came with a wonderful dressing. Our server was professional and attentive without being pushy. The manager, Lori, actually came by to check on us and made sure we had everything we needed. When I asked for more coffee, she brought it right over hot and fresh. We had an excellent evening and would definitely rate it five stars. I saw some negative reviews beforehand, but I'd encourage people to ignore that negativity and come try this place for themselves. You'll find quality food and welcoming people. Just to be clear, I wasn't asked to write this or given anything for doing so.
I found a roach in my food and I actually have a photo of it. That's all I need to know about never returning to this place. The restaurant is way too dark - I think they intentionally keep the lights low so you can't see what's on your plate. My husband and I went to the Greenville location in North Carolina. The food came out pretty quickly, but my side order of beans and rice had an insect in it after just two bites. This was our first and last time going. I care about restaurant hygiene and standards, and if you're asking for people's money, you need to actually care about the job and make sure things are clean. It's not that hard.
No one was greeting people so we ended up sitting at the bar. The counter was covered with dirty plates and barely anyone else was around. We placed an order, but they told me they didn't have Caesar salad so I got soup instead. When my husband's meal came out, they suddenly said they were out of soup. Why would they tell me that so late? I didn't even eat and we left right after he finished. Hands down the worst dining experience I've had. This was at the location in Ocala.
This place is poorly run and doesn't know how to handle customers. I came in on a Monday afternoon around 12:30 and there were tons of open tables and booths everywhere. I stood at the host stand for five minutes before anyone even came over. Then the hostess tells me it's gonna be a 45 minute wait even though the place is practically empty. How do you turn away one person in a half-full restaurant? I'm not wasting my time going back. Can't wait for them to close down so someone who actually wants business can move in.
We arrived around 9:30 in the evening and got seated near the front. We waited there for about 20 minutes, then didn't get our food until 10:30. When it finally came, the portions were tiny. My brother's steak was undercooked, and some of my grandfather's meal was missing entirely. To make matters worse, they started closing the restaurant while we were still eating. My brother had to finish my plate and my grandmother's because of how long everything took, and he ended up eating a basically raw steak. I'm really upset about how they handled this situation and especially about serving undercooked meat. They also charged us two dollars for games on a tablet that was sitting on the table without telling us. Then the payment system crashed and we couldn't pay for forever. I definitely would not suggest eating here.
