Church's Chicken is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 10 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. Reviewers consistently report problems with food quality, including dry chicken, stale or cold products, and sides that appear to have been sitting out for extended periods. Additional complaints focus on operational issues such as frequent claims of being out of chicken despite it being the primary menu item, long wait times (around 20 minutes reported), and frustrating service experiences including being turned away despite the restaurant appearing open.

Customer service emerges as a significant concern across multiple reviews. Shoppers describe rude and disrespectful treatment from staff members, including cashiers and managers, along with more serious issues such as unprepared or missing food orders despite payment. Several reviewers note that these problems are not isolated to a single location, indicating potential systemic issues across the chain. The overall sentiment suggests customers feel the chain lacks adequate oversight and quality control across both food preparation and staff conduct.

Seriously, I'd give zero stars if I could! I keep forgetting why I actually hate coming here. Every single visit they claim they're out of chicken! And the wait is always around 20 minutes! How is that even possible when chicken is literally the only thing on your menu? Then they tell you to park and they'll bring the food out. You park and there's like 5 other cars already parked doing the exact same thing!

Had high hopes for this visit but came away let down. The chicken turned out pretty dry and the sides weren't anything special. I was really hoping for fresher, better quality food overall.

Went to the Lewisville spot right around 9:15 pm. They told me they were closed but the lights were all on and the walk-up window was still available. The way they treated me was just awful and made no sense.

Someone stole from my dad, so he went to grab some chicken but we never actually got the food because the employee who was supposed to give it to us never handed it over. I really hope that person gets fired because we paid for our meal and never received it.

Really let down by Church's Texas Chicken at this location. The people working here, specifically the female cashier and one of the managers, were incredibly disrespectful and rude to customers. It's obvious there's no real oversight of how employees are treating people. With this kind of unprofessional behavior from staff, a major chain like this is going to keep losing customers and their trust. It was a completely unacceptable experience from start to finish.

I'm getting pretty fed up with getting cold, stale fried chicken from Church's. I've tried a bunch of different locations and they all have the same problem. Last visit they promised it was fresh and hot, but that was a total lie. The potatoes and gravy looked like they'd been sitting out for hours, and the gravy had completely soaked into the potatoes. Only the jalapeño poppers were actually hot and fresh. I stayed away for about a year because of these issues, but decided to give them another shot to see if anything improved. Spoiler alert: nope, maybe even worse. I went during dinner time specifically thinking I'd get something fresh, but I got old leftover lunch chicken instead. I hate eating cold chicken and I'm done with Church's. Not coming back again.

Visited the location on Valley Mills in Waco and honestly, nothing has changed since my last time. Still getting stale old chicken and poor quality. They should really consider shutting this place down because it's hurting the whole brand's reputation. My food was delivered but got sent to the wrong spot. After paying, I was told to go to south valley mills instead, which was a mess. This is the absolute worst location I've been to. I ended up throwing the whole thing away. I ordered a 3 piece with a drink and paid extra for an upsize, but that upsize never made it into my order.

I stop in occasionally on my way home from the hospital, which is a 45 minute drive away. I ordered the 4 piece white meal, which is supposed to come with 2 breasts and 2 wings. Mine was missing one of the wings. What's even more frustrating is that a female manager was the one who put my order together. I reported it through the app with my receipt but never heard back from customer service. It's pretty disappointing to see basic counting mistakes happening at restaurants these days.

Had a terrible time at the Greenville, MS location and can't recommend it. I've gone to the drive-thru multiple times wanting breakfast but the person at the speaker never takes your order. This morning I waited 5 minutes then pulled up to the window with no luck getting anyone to help. I went inside and a worker just yelled at me from across the room instead of coming to the counter. I asked for a toaster combo and she made it halfway before asking if I wanted hashbrowns, which should obviously come with it. When it was time to pay, she told me I had to pay for my diet coke at a different register. I'd already spent way too much time on this, so I told her to keep everything and left. I'm never going back to this place.

Really upset with my drive-thru experience late Saturday evening. Got 10 wings that were way too oily, coleslaw that was completely soggy, and a 3 piece meal where one piece was dry, one was oily, and I couldn't even eat one of them. There are so many better options out there like KFC, Mary Brown's, Jollibee, and Popeyes. This was my second and final time trying this place. Moving on to someone else.
