Some friends told me I had to sign up to join their tabletop games, but we never ended up playing, so I deleted my account. That was about 2 years back and I still get swamped with marketing emails every single week, like 90 percent of my inbox. When I told them they're breaking EU privacy law, they wanted me to give personal details to verify who I am. I explained again that the law doesn't work that way, if I tell you to stop the emails, you stop them. They never did. I'm filing a complaint with authorities now. People don't realize these are serious violations over there with hefty penalties. If you're in Europe and they're doing this to you or anything sketchy, file a report too. This has to stop. I can't comment on the actual service since all they ever did was spam my inbox. But you should probably avoid giving money to a company with questionable practices in general.

I placed an order on their web store and waited about 2 weeks before it shipped. I get that the holidays might've played a part and I'm frustrated but I can live with that. My real issue is the pricing. The checkout page showed $65 US total after shipping. When the package got to my door, the carrier slapped another $20 charge on it. Customers deserve to see exactly what they're paying, period. All the taxes, all the shipping, everything upfront. I've lost faith in how they present costs and I won't be ordering from them ever again. I'm warning friends to budget for almost half again on top of what the site says. If they want to make this right, they need to spell out shipping costs clearly and get packages delivered faster.

Quick version: I used this on a work account my employer paid for, then forgot to take the card off. When my job ended and the card got declined, they locked my account. I've emailed support twice over the last 12 days with zero response. In my first message I sent proof of ownership like they asked, but I never heard back. Now I can't access 8 books on that account and they won't even tell me why they won't unlock it. I explained the whole situation but nothing, no answers, just silence.

Purchased a physical and digital copy of a D&D sourcebook. Turns out the digital version wasn't actually a file, just access through their website portal. That's a misleading way to describe it, to put it mildly.

I wanted to cancel my subscription and reached out to their support team, but they never got back to me. After waiting 3 days I went ahead and cancelled myself, then filed a chargeback through my payment processor. A week later the money showed up in my account, still no word from them. Their support seems to have basically vanished. This place has turned into a ripoff. It used to be solid. Later on: Because of that chargeback, they locked me out of my entire account, including digital books I spent over $200 buying. If you had any doubts about whether this company operates shady, this should settle it.

Gets worse every day and that was the last straw. The desktop app works fine for a one shot, you get the basic rules and maybe one subclass per class and possibly a feat or two. Beyond that, it costs money. I've been running a campaign for a year and already dropped hundreds here because I wanted to give my group choices. Then they went and took away the best part of the store, which was buying individual items from books. I needed to add an NPC with a subclass I don't have, and now I have to shell out thirty plus bucks just for the whole book even though I'd already bought pieces. And I wouldn't even get credit for the money I spent before unless I jumped through hoops with support. It's basically a scam now, exploiting D&D fans who probably won't bother asking for a refund over ten bucks. I've read that you can make homebrew versions instead, but that goes against the terms and honestly as a DM I don't want to spend my time building subclasses and items from scratch. So me and my group are looking at other RPG options.

Once Hasbro took over they started squeezing money out of everything. They killed the ability to buy individual items. I'd suggest staying away from this until they bring back what they stripped out and promise they won't mess with homebrew content.

Been using this platform since 2018 for my first game ever and haven't looked back. The free tier lets you keep 6 characters going at once, which rocks when you're in multiple campaigns. Everything about tracking your character is straightforward. The interface makes it simple to manage inventory, tweak your stats, grab feats, rest up, deal damage and find bonuses. You even get a rundown of your actions to help during combat. Plus you can roll digital dice on any stat with one tap, so between your phone or tablet you basically have everything needed for D&D anywhere. As a DM, I love using the campaigns feature to add all my players' accounts. I can monitor their rolls, health, gear all in one place. Being able to quickly pull up rules or spell details and buy specific options from different books is incredibly useful.

Pretty solid website overall, honestly. You get to build 5 characters free of charge, check out some basic creature stats, and grab digital dice that don't cost a thing. But seriously, did you have to go with the whole diversity thing on a D&D platform?

They had tons of ways to make more money without betraying their player base like they tried to do with the licensing agreement. They could've sold merchandise, run crowdfunding campaigns, done all kinds of other stuff. The greed they've shown is honestly sickening and I'm out. I'm telling everyone I know to leave too.

Completely useless company. There's a serious bug affecting one of the character classes and I contacted their help desk. They pointed me to a really old article that didn't actually fix anything, just some old discussion where a rep said 'we'll look into it.' When I tried responding to that thread they banned me for it. All this after spending $60 on D&D content I already owned in paperback. This is a terrible business that only cares about quick profits.

I thought when I ordered from this shop I'd get physical books mailed to me. That wasn't the case. Turns out the books they sell are only online versions you view through their site. I could download PDF versions free instead of dropping $150 on their digital-only access. The checkout even asked for my mailing address, which made zero sense if they weren't sending anything physical. This is really frustrating and I ended up paying for online copies when I could've gotten them elsewhere at no cost.

This platform sells you digital copies of books but then they can just ban your account whenever and you lose access to everything you paid for. You can't even get support after that happens. And if you buy a book early and it goes on sale later, don't expect a refund. All they care about is grabbing as much cash as possible.
