People don't realize these are serious violations over there with hefty penalties. If you're in Europe and they're doing this to you or anything sketchy, file a report too. This has to stop. I can't comment on the actual service since all they ever did was spam my inbox. But you should probably avoid giving money to a company with questionable practices in general.
I placed an order on their web store and waited about 2 weeks before it shipped. I get that the holidays might've played a part and I'm frustrated but I can live with that. My real issue is the pricing. The checkout page showed $65 US total after shipping. When the package got to my door, the carrier slapped another $20 charge on it. Gets worse every day and that was the last straw. The desktop app works fine for a one shot, you get the basic rules and maybe one subclass per class and possibly a feat or two. Beyond that, it costs money. I've been running a campaign for a year and already dropped hundreds here because I wanted to give my group choices. Then they went and took away the best part of the store, which was buying individual items from books. I needed to add an NPC with a subclass I don't have, and now I have to shell out thirty plus bucks just for the whole book even though I'd already bought pieces. And I wouldn't even get credit for the money I spent before unless I jumped through hoops with support. It's basically a scam now, exploiting D&D fans who probably won't bother asking for a refund over ten bucks. I've read that you can make homebrew versions instead, but that goes against the terms and honestly as a DM I don't want to spend my time building subclasses and items from scratch. So me and my group are looking at other RPG options.
Once Hasbro took over they started squeezing money out of everything. They killed the ability to buy individual items. I'd suggest staying away from this until they bring back what they stripped out and promise they won't mess with homebrew content.
