I've been going to Publix for years, and the problems have built up over a long time now. Regular prices on everyday essentials keep climbing higher and higher. Take their store brand water as an example: the price jumped 26 cents in just one month, and that's only one item. You see this same pattern across all the basic groceries people need weekly. Publix talks about their buy-one-get-one deals helping offset these increases, but that doesn't mean much when the baseline prices keep going up. I'll walk out after spending $100 to $200 and feel like I barely got anything. I'm fortunate to have a paycheck, but there are seniors on fixed incomes who are getting squeezed hard, and Publix doesn't seem worried about that. Corporate keeps raising prices but for what? The actual food quality has deteriorated too. I'm always checking expiration dates because items on the shelf are regularly expired or about to be. I've brought home spoiled products more times than I can count.

I had a really disappointing experience at a local Publix location when I stopped by the deli to pick up a custom salad. The staff member assisting me seemed annoyed by my requests. What bothered me even more is that after I told my coworker about it, he mentioned he'd had a nearly identical experience with the same person. That's concerning because it suggests this isn't just a one-time issue. Publix is supposed to be known for great customer service, so this really let me down. I hope management takes notice and addresses this.

My special instructions were clearly listed on my receipt. I went back Saturday morning and asked for the manager at customer service. I waited ten minutes for the associate to return and tell me the manager said to have the deli handle it. Nobody came out to talk to me. The deli worker made me wait another six minutes, then said she couldn't change anything based on company policy.

The employee who answered was short and dismissive, like it was such a burden to assemble a few items on a platter for me. The whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. This location in Dunnellon really needs to work on their phone support.

The produce quality is really poor, some of it is rotten. It's shocking they expect people to buy vegetables and fruit that are clearly spoiled. On top of that, the prices keep jumping every single time I shop. Last week a gallon of their purified water was $1.33, this week it's $1.59. Just a year ago it was under a dollar, and not long before that it was 67 cents. That's just one example. Some things have literally doubled in price since last year, which is why I don't buy them anymore. Publix is absolutely taking advantage of customers and raising prices whenever they can. I'm doing my best to shop there less and less. It's frustrating and greedy.

I felt unsafe during my last visit because I witnessed someone inside the store carrying a firearm openly. That experience made me decide to shop somewhere else from now on.

I'm really disappointed with how expensive Publix has become. They've stopped stocking a bunch of items I buy regularly, including several Vigo products and other things. The prices keep climbing, and meanwhile corporate executives are out there buying luxury accessories. Then when I checked out yesterday, the cashier circled a spot on my receipt about taking a survey for $1000 in free groceries. Sounds great until you actually try to do it and realize you have to hand over your phone number on a third-party website. That's a no-go for me with all the scams and data breaches happening these days. Really frustrated with this store right now. The cashier also had a rough interaction with the customer ahead of me, which didn't help matters. I'm just fed up overall.

I've been a loyal Publix customer for over two decades and have watched this location evolve over the years. I recently decided to link my phone number to my account after all this time. I wanted to give recognition to some outstanding people I've encountered here: David, one of the managers, has been wonderful. The staff members I've worked with, including Nadia and Joe, have been fantastic. Patrick deserves special mention as someone with real integrity and dedication who genuinely cares about doing right by customers. I've known him and some others for years and respect their honest, ethical approach. Nadia and the other ladies on staff are just great to interact with. The service here reflects what Publix should be about.

When I want quality grocery shopping, Publix is my go-to place. Coming from the northeast where I shopped at Wegmans, I had high standards. I grabbed my complimentary birthday item at Publix yesterday and was blown away by how substantial and well-made it was. You'd never see an offer like that at Wegmans, and they certainly wouldn't offer to bag your groceries in your car. This store really knows how to treat customers right.

One of the floral staff members went completely above and beyond when I bought a huge bunch of flowers. I still had holiday shopping to finish, and he took the time to bag everything in umbrellas with wet paper towels so nothing would get damaged. I was so touched by how much easier he made my day. I stopped by the Holly Hill location on Ridgewood and this person made all the difference. I wish I could have tipped him, though I know staff there don't accept tips anyway.

The team in the deli and hot food section is fantastic, especially one staff member who always treats you like family. She's got such a positive attitude and genuine coolness about her. I really look forward to seeing her when I'm there.

The team at this location was super helpful and made shopping pleasant. The deli selection is impressive, and the whole store is incredibly clean and well organized.

This is hands down the best supermarket chain operating in the Southeast.
