Been a customer for many years and this place has consistently been my go-to for dark and dramatic home decor. Before all these recent reviews came out, I never had a single issue. It makes me sad seeing all the negativity being forced toward this company that might drive them under. Amazon and Wayfair simply don't offer the quality or breadth of goth and hauntingly beautiful pieces that Design Toscano does. I've purchased dozens of items over the years and have never once complained. They're the best for this aesthetic.

My mini King Tut throne arrived completely different from what was shown on their website. Design Toscano replied to only one of my emails saying the pictures in their listing were wrong, so that wasn't the item I ordered. Here's the thing, they never even removed those incorrect pictures from their website! If the images are mistaken, why are they still up there?

They were running a huge sale and I snagged some fantastic cast iron collectible pieces at incredible prices. The delivery speed was amazingly quick. A lot of these reviews complain about shipping problems, but maybe my smaller items were just easier to pack, or the box was handled well, but my package was wrapped perfectly. I don't usually leave reviews, but I was so impressed I felt I should speak up and tell others how pleased I am.

I placed an order knowing the item was slightly delayed. They said two months, so I was prepared to wait. Then months went by without any word from them. When I finally reached out, they claimed the post office lost it and wouldn't explain why I was never given a tracking number or told my package went missing. According to them, that wasn't their issue. I decided to have them reship it anyway, but that was five months ago and I still don't have it. That's ten months total waiting. When I called to complain, the customer service person was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked if I could cancel, but they said it was too late. I absolutely will not recommend this company to anyone.

If you're considering ordering from this company to ship internationally, I'd rethink it. I had to chase them repeatedly just to get responses. They wouldn't take my credit card, said no to Western Union, and basically forced me to do a direct bank transfer. That would've been fine if they'd just explained it up front. Then I spent three weeks trying to confirm they received the payment. From start to finish, it took about nine weeks of weekly check-ins just to get my order. The whole experience was bad communication and no efficiency. I only stuck with it because this was an art piece my sister wanted to give to my nephew. This company really needs to improve how they communicate and how quickly they operate.

I own eleven garden statues from Design Toscano over time. About a month ago, they shipped me a large garden statue and the base material was completely different from what I was used to. When I asked about returning it, they said it would be a $25 charge. I ended up paying $50 instead. I tried posting a review elsewhere but ran into technical problems.

The main thing this company excels at is making you waste your time. I ordered a statue on October 7, 2022 with an expected delivery of December 9, 2022. Two months after paying $17 for shipping, I phoned in January because nothing arrived and I'd gotten no updates. They said it's out of stock and now March. Called back in May and they said it's been discontinued. They never bothered telling me the order was canceled, yet they still mail me advertisements monthly.

Wonderful and excellent decision on my part. I'm very much satisfied with my purchase.

Don't buy anything from this outfit. I got two push plates that their website made look like they had both stock and would charge me $49.67 total. One arrived quickly and I was charged $30.64, which included shipping for both items. Right after, I got notification that the second plate is backordered until September. Then a card came saying October. Now it's Thanksgiving week and they told me when I called there's nothing they can do. I'm stuck without a matching piece almost half a year later. I wouldn't have ordered if I'd known they didn't actually have the inventory.

Make sure you know which Toscano company you're buying from. We made the mistake of ordering two pieces from Design Toscano, one being incredibly heavy. We were horrified to learn that if we wanted our money back, we'd have to pack everything securely and pay for return shipping ourselves. That cost basically matches what we paid for the item, which wasn't even good quality. Their website wouldn't load the full details properly, so we couldn't really examine the woman's face on the piece we purchased beforehand. We've been teaching art for decades and always tell our students to examine faces first. We're frustrated and angry we didn't check better, and we're warning everyone we know. If you ordered from a Toscano statuary place years ago, triple check that this is the right company, because this Design Toscano is not the one. The ownership should feel embarrassed.

I was thrilled until I opened the box with my fountain. Unpacking revealed the craftsmanship is terribly disappointing. Getting it back in the box for a return is nearly impossible, and the return shipping cost cuts so far into your refund that it's just not worth bothering. I'd suggest you shop somewhere else. Don't fall for the polished pictures on their site.

Started out really well with this company but things have taken a turn. My first order, a French clock statue, was beautiful and well-crafted. Then I grabbed a French-style barrel table that I enjoy, though I discovered a problem with the drawer. When I reached out, they offered $75 in store credit as their only solution. I used that credit on two statues, but one never shipped because it was on backorder, and the other arrived broken and already glued back together. They promised a refund, but when it hit my account it was only $33 instead of the full $65 price. I contacted customer service and haven't heard back. Based on what I'm seeing in other reviews combined with my own troubles, I don't think I'll be ordering from Design Toscano again.

I've ordered multiple things from this company. Recently I got a dolphin fountain, and I supplied my own pump but it came with a hose built inside the head. I painted the outside gray to make it look more lifelike, but within three months the hose inside started falling apart from dry rot. Since it's a working fountain, you have to basically break the head open to swap out the hose. When I called, they blamed me for modifying their product. I only painted the outside, which has nothing to do with the hose that's tucked inside. They won't stand behind their work, and I'm done with them. Save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere.

Poor company with subpar workmanship. I ordered two Rose Table Lamps and both have the same issue. The glass components don't fit properly into the brass mounting hardware. The chimney won't fit over the lightbulb size they recommend. While putting one together, the glass shade wouldn't sit flush on the brass base (which was bent) and broke into pieces when it fell onto a cushioned carpet. This is junk and I'm not satisfied.
