I put in 2 separate orders for some RC Crawlers. Got the first one, but only got half of the second order. After waiting a couple weeks with nothing shipping even though it showed in stock and was on sale, I contacted them asking for a refund on what hadn't arrived. Instead of a refund, they said the item was now backordered until August. I ordered in February and it was already March. I made absolutely sure it said IN STOCK before I bought it. If it had been backordered I wouldn't have ordered at all. I wanted my money back and ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company. Update: They reached out by email and offered to just cancel the order. I accepted it. I'm glad they fixed it in the end, but I really would've just preferred to get the truck I ordered without all this back and forth and stress.

This is where I go whenever I need to pick up new airplanes and gear. The products are really solid and the way they treat their customers is excellent. Everything I expected and more. It's fantastic having them as an option!

Purchased 3 RC airplanes from this company and 2 of them came with serious defects right out of the package. The Super Timber had wings that were warped and getting them to replace it was really difficult, though they eventually did swap out the wings minus the graphics. Took 7 months to get them. Then the Turbo Timber Evo was a total mess from day one. It took off, flipped immediately, and crashed hard on the ground. Since it was past the 30 day window, they refused to help. Honestly, you should probably look elsewhere for your RC planes.

Update 7.9.2025: Horizon Hobby called and confirmed they're shipping out replacement tail feathers for my SUS plane. Really thankful for this because it shows the company actually stands behind their products! My first plane was an Aereoscout and the left wing aileron servo started jittering when I was flying at about 20 feet, then it nose-dived hard. My second plane, a SUS 1.2m, showed up with a damaged aileron on the left and bent tail feathers. Initially didn't hear much back, but now they're making it right.

Really grateful for this and it's nice to see a company that actually stands behind what they sell! My first beginner plane was an Aereoscout. Been really pleased with the support team at HH lately. I usually make my bigger purchases at the local hobby shop, but when I had a problem with a brand new Losi Mini LMT, I reached out to their customer support and they sent out the bad part right away. Every warranty claim I've made has been handled this well. Honestly, it's some of the best warranty support I've gotten anywhere. Solid people, great hobby, and overall good value for what you get. Obviously everyone would love lower prices, but life is expensive and hobbies even more so. I'm thankful I can do what I love.

Writing this after getting a warranty replacement and wanted to share my experience. I've got a lot of their products and have contacted support multiple times over the years. Every time they've been responsive, friendly, and solved my problem to my satisfaction. They operate a bunch of brands globally and for a hobby company with that kind of reach, I think they do a solid job with their support. Comparing everything to what their products cost, I'd say you get really good value. I haven't had nearly as good an experience with their competitors.

This company gets a lot of criticism so I wanted to write something positive to balance things out. Big thanks to Jason from their support team, he's fantastic and always gets back to people super quick. I'm new to RC flying so I ask pretty basic questions sometimes, but he's really helped me get up to speed with all of it.

These guys have the best customer service around. I shipped in my iX20SE transmitter because the right slider quit working and needed a replacement. They got it Thursday, looked it over Friday, and it was back at my house the next Friday working perfectly. That kind of service is really impressive.

If you fly RC planes, you probably know Horizon Hobby has great variety and really solid quality control. Over the past several years, everything I've bought from them has had excellent fit and finish. But honestly, to get the absolute best experience, I'd push you to join their Elite membership program. RC flying isn't cheap, so taking the leap to become an Elite member was a gamble, but it turned out to be one of the best investments I've made in this hobby. I'm coming up on my second renewal and there's no question I'll sign up again. It's like having a best friend who owns a hobby shop. They answer every question immediately. Returns are just a quick email. They give you the knowledge you need with real solutions. I can't speak highly enough about HH and the Elite program. I have over 70 planes and while many came from them, not all did, but my personal rep is always ready to help whenever I need something. I think anyone serious about this hobby should check it out.

Absolutely fantastic customer service! I contacted them about an issue with my new Kraton 6S and they got back to me within an hour and mailed out a replacement part super fast. Really professional and quick response. Seriously wish I could give them 6 stars!
