Promo Code Not Working? Try This

  • Check that you copied the entire code correctly, including any numbers or capital letters, as codes are case sensitive.
  • Verify the code has not expired by reviewing the offer details listed on RetailCoupons.com.
  • Confirm the code applies to the specific products in your cart, as some promotions are limited to certain items or categories.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try entering the code again, as cached data can sometimes interfere with code validation.
  • Ensure you are shopping on silhouetteamerica.com directly and not through a third-party retailer, since promo codes may not transfer between platforms.

Silhouette Savings Hacks

Stack Sales With Email Signup

Many arts and crafts retailers offer an additional discount to new email subscribers. Sign up for Silhouette's mailing list before applying a promo code to maximize your savings on your first purchase.

Buy Materials in Bulk

Stock up on frequently used supplies like cutting mats and blades during promotional periods to reduce per-unit costs and avoid repeat purchases at full price.

Monitor Seasonal Sales Events

Arts and crafts retailers typically run promotions around back-to-school season, holidays, and special creative occasions. Check RetailCoupons.com regularly to catch these cyclical deals.

Compare Bundle Deals

Silhouette periodically offers bundle packages that pair machines with design software or supply kits. These often provide better value than purchasing items separately, even without an additional code.

Review Customer Feedback First

Before committing to a large equipment purchase, read customer reviews to ensure the product meets your needs, which helps you avoid costly returns and disappointment.

Silhouette Shipping Policy

Shipping costs and delivery times typically depend on your order size, location, and the carrier Silhouette partners with. Check the shipping details during checkout for estimated delivery timeframes and any applicable charges. Some orders may qualify for expedited or free shipping depending on the retailer's current policies.

Silhouette Returns & Refund Policy

Arts and crafts equipment purchases may be returnable within a specific window, though policies vary by product type and condition. Review Silhouette's return policy on their website or contact their customer service team before purchasing to understand any restocking fees or condition requirements that may apply to your order.

Silhouette receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 1.4 out of 5 based on 24 reviews. The primary complaints center on customer service accessibility (lengthy hold times with no response), account suspension issues without explanation, software problems following updates, and billing discrepancies such as unwanted duplicate charges and unrefunded return shipping. Additional frustrations include software being sold separately rather than included with expensive machines, subscription cancellations occurring without authorization, and difficulties navigating the Silhouette Connect platform. A small number of reviewers note the machines themselves function well initially, but this is vastly outweighed by operational and support failures.

The accumulated complaints suggest systemic problems across customer service, account management, software delivery, and order fulfillment. Long wait times without resolution, unexplained account suspensions, and billing errors have driven customers to recommend purchasing through third-party retailers rather than directly from Silhouette. The stark disconnect between product quality and company operations indicates that even satisfied machine owners become frustrated by the broader customer experience.

I've been on hold trying to reach someone for over two hours now. My account suddenly got suspended for reasons nobody's explained, and I've got credits sitting in there. I've made tons of purchases over the years and now I've got a machine that's completely useless since I can't access the service. What's going on? How come I can't get a person on the phone? I can't get into the chat. Nobody's responding to my email. I can't even find a phone number. What do I do with a machine I can't use? Where's all the money and credits that were on my account?

Their studio software is garbage, the equipment is garbage, and honestly it feels like something TEMU dropped on the market. It was working fine until I updated it and now it's completely dead weight. WHAT A WASTE.

Charging extra for software that you need to actually operate a pricey machine is pretty ridiculous. Real companies usually throw in the core software as part of the overall package instead of putting it behind an additional paywall. But it gets worse - Silhouette Connect lets you download it, set it up, and walk through part of the process before blocking the finish step and asking you to pay. That's not made obvious upfront, so by the time you find out you've already put in time and spent materials. Really disappointing and feels like they're being sneaky about it.

I just got two emails saying I cancelled my subscription, but I absolutely did not. When I checked my account it shows I have an active annual plan that doesn't expire until November 2026, yet it's saying the account isn't activated despite me having paid for annual access. Their response was just a ticket confirmation with nothing to actually respond to. I'm really frustrated because I was a loyal customer from the start with an annual pass, but last year I dropped it due to constant problems. I thought things had improved so I signed back up for annual access, only to hit more issues three months later. Update: Silhouette finally got back to me and turned my account back on, but then two days later it got cancelled again. It's because I shut off auto-payments on my PayPal account like I always do. Even though I checked their website and it said cancelling auto-pay on PayPal doesn't cancel your subscription and you have to do that separately.

I'd rate this lower if I could. I have the receipt showing the one and only thing I ordered - a cameo device. Just one! They mailed me two and charged me for both including separate shipping costs. On top of that, they're making me pay to send the extra one back. They'll refund the machine itself but not the return shipping, plus I'm out the original shipping too, which comes to around 32 bucks total. I really should've just ordered through Amazon or gone with something completely different.

The Silhouette Machine itself is AWESOME!!!!! But their customer service? That's like dealing with a teenager hanging out in his grandpa's basement. If you can find a way to get the machine anywhere except directly from the company, do it - try eBay, Facebook, garage sales, online classifieds, estate sales, wherever. SERIOUSLY DO NOT CONTACT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I got the Silhouette Cameo 5 Pro MK II and it only lasted 3 months before the machine disconnected while doing a firmware update. After that point it was totally dead - no lights, nothing. A device that costs as much as a new phone shouldn't just stop working from a routine update. The support situation makes it even worse. Their ticketing system keeps closing my cases on its own, and there's no actual way to talk to a real human. I've done every step they suggested, spent hours on this, and I'm left with a useless machine on my shelf. I depend on this for my business and now I've got nothing to use and nobody helping me fix it. I really hope Silhouette steps up and actually reaches out, but at this point I'm really let down and I wouldn't tell anyone else to buy this.

Honestly, these people are straight up thieves. Sure, the equipment itself works fine and is pretty much the same as what competitors offer, but their whole subscription thing is a complete ripoff. Almost everything costs extra. But here's the kicker - when you try to end your subscription to their design store, they pocket your money and shut you down right away while erasing all your leftover credits. This is exactly how companies end up going under. They're doing whatever it takes to squeeze more profit out of their customers. Really greedy operation.

Why can't they offer zero stars?? Got the machine but can't even get it working. It refuses to connect to the design shop. I went to cancel the monthly subscription - their site says 'Yes! You can cancel or change your subscription whenever you want. Just know unused credits expire at the end of your billing period' - but when I tried to cancel they hit me with a 20 dollar early termination fee. So NO, you can't just cancel whenever. This company is a joke. Wishing I never spent my money on this garbage. Should've just gotten the Cricut instead.

Take off running if you can. I've been buying from this company since 2011, but it's gone downhill fast lately. The last couple years have been awful - I can't recommend their machines anymore because the customer support is basically gone and their software is bloated and buggy. It doesn't work like it's supposed to. I'm moving on to something else. Wherever I get my next cutting machine from, it won't be Silhouette.

Got a cameo 4 about a year back and it's been nothing but trouble since day one. It won't feed the mat right and the cuts come out wrong. I sent several emails and got nothing in return. After bugging them with multiple messages, I finally got an automated response that didn't even address what I was asking about. A year in they say they'll replace it, but only with a refurbished model. I paid full price for one that was broken. Why should I accept used equipment? I wasted so much material trying to make it work. My first cameo from 2015 was solid until I dropped it during a move. Skip this company and their faulty machines, plus their nonexistent support team.

I've been shopping with them for quite a while and everything was solid until May 2024 when they overhauled their design shop and moved everything to Adobe. Since then, the shop's been a mess. I could accidentally order the same design multiple times, my owned designs weren't showing as purchased anymore, and the batch download feature disappeared - now I have to grab each design one at a time, which would be fine if I didn't have over 1000 designs. I also can't upgrade my older purchases to include the .svg format anymore even though I used to be able to. It's really annoying that they keep rolling out new shop features but won't fix the existing problems. Support doesn't help either - I wait weeks for a response and then get an auto-generated message like 'We noticed your ticket from 6 weeks ago, please reply with this code if you still need help' and then nothing after I reply. The software broke around the same time as the shop migration because owned designs stopped showing in the library.

Both the product and customer service are absolutely terrible. These eyeglasses cost way too much and should be built to last, but they're not - the side frame snapped twice within just a couple months even though the optician said I was treating them carefully. When I reached out to their support team they gave me completely unhelpful responses. The whole thing is junk and their customer support is even worse.

Lauren N.Aug 31, 2024

Customer Support basically doesn't exist here. My Cameo 4 started malfunctioning just one month in. I tried emailing their support address twice and got nothing back. I even used their chatbot and can show proof of where I submitted all my details, and all it said was 'Thank you for your submission. Your ticket ID for this case is #' - no number even showed up. Getting them to respond to literally anything is impossible. Their warranty sounds good on paper but it's worthless because you can't actually reach them to use it.

Thomas H.Apr 3, 2024

The equipment ran smoothly for about 3 months initially, and while I understand that problems happen I wasn't too bothered. The real issue was dealing with their customer service, which is basically nowhere to be found. Assuming your machine stays in good working order, you'll probably be satisfied. However, the second you need any kind of assistance, you'll regret putting money toward this company. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN.
