As a military reservist I relied on Nitecore for tactical equipment, but my BP23 Pro bag's zipper completely failed. The company proposed a resolution through their support system, but they've dragged their feet and won't follow through. They ignore emails and won't stand behind solutions they offered. If you need reliable gear and a company with actual integrity, shop somewhere else. This is a complete failure in every way.

I ordered three USB-A to USB-C cables directly from their website for charging their battery banks, and all of them failed within a few months of regular use. I can't believe this level of customer service still exists in 2024. I spent $90.95 on a Nitecore MH12GTS, which is supposed to be one of the premium flashlights on the market. After using it twice, the battery got dangerously hot - too hot to hold, like it was boiling. I emailed the US service team and it took a week to get a response, even after sending follow-ups. They said contact the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer said contact US service. I got frustrated and replied to both with copies of all related emails and asked them to work together. A week later they asked me to ship it to their US service center instead of just sending me a new one. After shipping it out, I got no updates for two weeks until I followed up. Then they told me it needs repair and will take 12 weeks. Three months. On top of the two months I'd already spent going back and forth. For a nearly $100 flashlight, this is unacceptable.

Still trying to get the glass replaced on my Concept 2 flashlight. I'm willing to pay for replacement gaskets and the front glass after it turned on and shattered from heat while sitting in my bag. Over the past month I've emailed three different addresses and each reply comes a week late, and only because I have to send follow-ups. I paid 185 pounds for this flashlight. Never buying from them again. Customer support is embarrassing. Update: Two months in and still waiting for the right parts. I asked for two things, glass and gaskets, but they forgot the gaskets. Now they're saying another eight weeks for delivery. Skip Nitecore entirely.

If the other reviews aren't enough to warn you away from nitecorestore.com, take my advice and stay clear. They sell flashlights with proprietary batteries. My R40, purchased for $149 about three years ago, needed a new battery, but it shows as discontinued on their site. I searched for top-rated headlamps online and Nitecore kept showing up on best-of lists. How is that even possible? The shipping took almost four weeks, customer service is incredibly slow at three days just to get a callback, and when you do reach someone their phone system is awful. I called twice and had the same terrible experience both times. They're hard to understand and don't seem very motivated to help. As for the HC65V2 headlamp itself, it includes an 18650 battery but they never mention that it's proprietary and costs $21.95 to buy extras. The headlamp gets extremely hot while charging and when I asked about it the rep said that's normal. I'm skeptical. Standard 18650 batteries work but don't last nearly as long, and you shouldn't use them on high mode. This headlamp isn't worth the money and I'm working on returning it.
