One of the shades I got came in the wrong size. I verified my order had the correct measurement, but the sticker on the shade said something different. Should've been simple given all their policies about covering their mistakes. Instead, I got bounced around by their customer service person forever. Even when I sent photos proving the measurement mismatch, they refused to own up to it, but said they'd remake it if I paid $25. The whole thing turned into such a headache that I just gave up, which is probably what they were counting on anyway. Can't recommend them when there are so many other companies with better service.

Shipping can take 15 to 20 days, and you're stuck waiting that long before you can even ask to cancel if your item hasn't shown up yet. I ordered a roller shade and got a shipping notification via FedEx on one date, but the tracking stayed stuck on 'label created' for days. When I called customer service, they said FedEx takes 1 to 5 days to update tracking info. I checked again almost a week later, and suddenly it might take 10 days because of shipping delays across the country, which they claimed they just found out about the night before even though I'd asked multiple times about the delays. What made it worse is the package was going from San Diego to the Bay Area, yet it took more than 5 days just to get a real tracking update after they said it shipped.

Dropped over $200 on a shade that I still can't actually use. Hanging it has been an absolute nightmare. The design of this outside-mounted relaxed Roman shade is just poorly thought out. The mounting screws barely fit because there's almost no clearance between the rail and my ceiling, so I had to drill special holes and use a wrench to get the screws in. Two pieces of cord were just dangling from the back of the fabric with no connection point, and the instruction manual said nothing about what to do with them. I had to search the internet to figure it out myself. The tension device instructions don't work either because there's supposedly a toggle switch that doesn't actually exist. What I'm left with is basically fabric hanging over my window that won't go up or down. Every other window treatment in my home works fine, but this one is hands down the worst thing I've ever bought. I paid $200 and got nothing usable. One person called me back and promised to send an instructional video, but I never got it. I've sent three emails and left two voicemails without any response.

After weeks of waiting, I finally got word that one of the sizes I wanted wasn't available anymore. I tried to figure out alternatives, but getting help from customer service was impossible. I called four times asking them to ring me back, and nobody ever did. Eventually I reached someone named Fred who basically said he understood but wasn't authorized to do anything about it and wanted me to email instead. Since they'd mentioned having trouble with email before, I was hesitant, but he suggested texting, so I went with that. They emailed back telling me my whole order was cancelled without any explanation. When I asked for documentation of that transaction, they still haven't sent it. That's quite a response! Definitely watch out with this company!

Update: After reaching out, the company offered to remake my shades with the reverse roll option done correctly this time. The replacement shades were actually an improvement over what I originally ordered. Hopefully they'll fix their website so the reverse roll option isn't available for shades where it shouldn't be, preventing this from happening to someone else. Original story: I bought three Blackout Roller Shades and specifically asked for the Reverse Roll option on all three, paying the extra $5 per shade for a cleaner appearance. Two weeks later, when I opened the package and read the installation guide, I realized all three shades had been made with a standard roll instead. They advertise a 'worry-free fit guarantee,' so I reached out. Their response was that Reverse Roll wasn't actually available for that model, which made no sense since reversing the roll is just attaching the fabric to the core differently. Instead of offering to remake them, they offered a $25 credit. Meanwhile, whoever was assembling these things in their warehouse clearly wasn't following the order specs.

Based on my experience, Affordable Blinds really can't be beat. I just got blinds for every window in my house from them. The pricing is unbeatable, they have an amazing selection of styles, and everything shipped quickly. I have no idea how they manage to offer such great deals, but I'm definitely not complaining.

The actual blinds from Affordable Blinds are solid, and their lifetime warranty is solid too. Unfortunately, our order from early 2024 got sent to the wrong address by the delivery company. The photo they took didn't show where they actually left the package. When we called the delivery company, they passed us to Affordable Blinds, who wanted us to pay extra to fix the routing. We paid it, but then we were told the delivery company couldn't reroute after all, supposedly because they couldn't locate the package. I wish Affordable Blinds had pushed harder with the delivery company to figure out exactly where their driver left our stuff, rather than just accepting their explanation. At this point, our blinds are still missing.

This seller really knows how to treat their customers right. The whole team went out of their way to help, and my order arrived when promised. Thanks for the excellent service!
