Purchased an Orca hardfloor cleaner in May and it stopped working properly by July, even though I barely used it. The company sent me a replacement handle first, then a new chassis unit, then a fresh water tank when those didn't fix it. About two weeks later the rubber seal on the new tank came loose and is now stuck inside the machine. When I reached out to Gtech, I got no response. After following up a week later, they replied saying they had technical problems on their end and asked me to resubmit all my purchase info, even though it was already in my original message along with my order details. I responded immediately but haven't heard back in the week since. Based on everything that's happened, the Orca feels like it's not built well and just isn't suitable for what it's supposed to do. The customer support experience has been really disappointing and honestly unacceptable. I'd like a full refund.

Odd device overall. I absolutely adored my Graphite model back in 2016 and even had two of them, yet I chose to go ahead with upgrading to the AirRam 3. Unfortunately it's been stripping paint off my baseboards. My bathroom has a long black streak because the lower casing appears to be too large and is rubbing along the skirting boards. On carpet, pushing it is considerably more difficult than it was with my Graphite model. Looking at other customer feedback, the consensus seems to be that this unit performs best on hard flooring. It's disappointing that the promotional information doesn't mention this limitation since my home is carpeted everywhere aside from the kitchen and bathroom. Gtech has asked me to ship the device back since they're puzzled by the skirting damage, so I'm waiting on their findings. I'm grateful I held onto my Graphite unit since I've got it available while Gtech investigates. The AirRam 3 does excel in certain areas no question, like not requiring filter washing and having an effortless dust bin emptying system. However a quality cleaner requires more than just those aspects, and at this stage I still lean toward rating the Graphite as superior.

Pretty strange device, to be honest. I was a huge fan of the Graphite version from back in 2016 and actually owned two of them, but I decided to upgrade to the AirRam 3 anyway. The problem is it's been scratching the paint right off my skirting boards. There's a dark line running along my bathroom where the lower part seems just slightly too wide and scrapes against the baseboards. Plus it's noticeably harder to push around on carpet compared to my old Graphite model. I've looked at what other people are saying and it seems like this machine really shines on hard flooring, which honestly isn't highlighted clearly in their marketing materials. That's frustrating since my place is mostly carpeted except for the kitchen and bathroom. Gtech asked me to send the unit back because they can't figure out why it's wrecking my skirting, so I'm waiting to hear what they find. I'm relieved I kept my Graphite because at least I have it to use while they're investigating. On the bright side, the AirRam 3 does have some nice features like not needing to wash filters and the dust bin empties super easily. Still though, a vacuum is more than just those conveniences, and right now I honestly prefer the Graphite overall.

When my order arrived, I realized I'd been confused about how the green filter attached to the casing, but it turned out it was supposed to go on the inner roller where it already was. I feel a bit silly about the mix-up, but the staff was so kind about it and I can keep the extra parts for future use. Really appreciate the excellent support.
