What Shoppers Say About Medieval Collectibles
Medieval Collectibles is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 10 shoppers, with the majority of reviews expressing significant dissatisfaction. Common complaints center on poor product quality (items described as cheaply made, damaged, or defective), high prices relative to value, problematic return processes that shift costs to customers, slow order fulfillment with inadequate communication, and concerns about the use of AI-generated imagery in advertising. A smaller number of shoppers report positive experiences, though specific praise is limited in the available feedback.
Customer service interactions have drawn mixed to negative reactions, with some shoppers describing representatives as unhelpful, difficult, or condescending during return requests. Shipping speed has occasionally been acceptable, but overall fulfillment reliability appears inconsistent. The combination of quality issues, pricing concerns, and return policy friction has led reviewers to recommend shopping elsewhere.

Sorted by: Most recentThey're using AI generated images in their ads, which honestly makes me question whether the product photos on the site are legit unless they're old inventory. That's a red flag for me. I'm taking my money elsewhere unless they stop relying on generative AI, especially considering it's created using artwork without getting permission from the artists.
Stay away from ordering here. The shipping was reasonably quick and I got a response when I contacted them, but the prices are way too high for what you get. The mace I received was tiny and felt cheaply made. To make matters worse, returning it was a hassle because I had to set up a PayPal account just to process the return, then I was hit with a $16 shipping fee. I only got back $48 on a $64 purchase. Skip this place.
Got a sword cane here and it looks like it fell off a discount bargain site. The seal on the glue busted immediately, so now it rattles around, and the sword wasn't even attached to the handle, it was just sitting loose inside the shaft.
This has been one of my worst online shopping experiences ever. I ordered a bunch of stuff two months ahead of a renaissance fair, and the site showed a 4 to 5 week delivery window due to backorders. After six weeks with zero updates, I check and the order still shows processing. I try calling on Saturday but have to wait for Monday since nobody's there. By then it's eight days until the event. On Monday I call back and just grab different stuff that's in stock. New shipment should arrive Friday, giving me a day to prepare. It gets here Saturday, the night before the fair. I try everything on and it's a disaster. Multiple items smell awful. One washes badly and stains something else. The pants have a drawstring that breaks immediately with minimal force. The belt is nowhere near my actual size despite matching the advertised measurements. Almost everything had something wrong with it. I ended up completely unprepared for the event despite planning for months.
I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I got a damaged item back in the spring. I reached out following their policy and they said I'd have to cover return shipping for the broken item plus pay to get the replacement sent out. That didn't sit right with me, so I filed a claim through PayPal and they told me to stop talking to the company and handle everything through them instead. That's when things got bad. The company turned hostile, got rude, dismissive, arrogant and kept harassing me with false statements. They even asked PayPal to make me get a professional assessment done on a thirty dollar statue made in China, which PayPal said was unnecessary. A year later I thought I'd give them another shot and tried to place an order, but couldn't. I emailed and someone named Mary told me I'd been put on a permanent block list because of the dispute. Apparently they weren't happy I won that claim. Here's the thing though, my account did get refunded and I didn't pay for return shipping. Mary also claimed that neither PayPal nor I ever sent pictures of the damage, which is completely false. PayPal sent them and confirmed it again a year down the line. She also said they tried reaching me through tons of emails, calls and texts about the pictures. Yeah, there were a lot, which honestly felt like harassment.
Their customer service came off as overly sweet and patronizing. When I politely asked about returning something or getting a credit for unused items, they just filled their response with a bunch of filler before basically saying no. I tried being really respectful, but then it felt like they were deliberately being difficult just to get under my skin.
The support team here is absolutely excellent. They go the extra mile to fix problems and make things right. Whenever something's come up, they've always given me a solid explanation and jumped right on fixing it in a friendly way. With 10 years managing support teams myself, I have to say I'm really impressed with what Amber and her crew have built. They'll keep getting my business.
This is the worst! I picked up the same item from a company in Europe without any hassle. Then their support suddenly tells me I need special paperwork to bring it in, fine. But then support says the order's going back to the sender and they won't accept returns or issue refunds. I won't be recommending them or ordering from them again.
I've ordered from them several times and everything shows up when it's supposed to.
