What Shoppers Say About Blinds Chalet
Blinds Chalet has highly polarized customer experiences. Positive reviewers praise the competitive pricing, quality appearance, and quick turnaround on orders, with some reporting successful purchases across multiple rooms. However, the majority of reviews describe serious fulfillment and quality issues: extended shipping delays without communication, missing or damaged components (mounting brackets and end caps), sizing problems requiring professional adjustment, color discrepancies between what was ordered and received, and frustration over the satisfaction guarantee requiring additional paid coverage to be effective.
Customer service emerges as a major pain point, with shoppers reporting difficulty reaching the company for order status updates and lack of proactive communication. While the store does appear to have a satisfaction guarantee policy, several customers note that understanding and utilizing it requires careful attention to fine print and may involve additional costs. The stark divide in ratings suggests that order fulfillment consistency is the core issue affecting customer satisfaction.

Sorted by: Most recentNot worth the hassle. I bought 7 custom blinds and it took over a week before they even shipped. When the package arrived, all the mounting brackets were gone and roughly a third of the end caps were already loose or falling off. The sizing was way too tight, and my contractor had to grind down every single unit so they wouldn't damage the window frame and walls. According to our contractor, most reputable places recommend reducing your measurement by a quarter inch for inside mounts, but this company's standard is three sixteenths plus or minus one eighth. Bottom line: expect these to scrape your frames and rub against the sides.
Don't waste your time here. The customer service is basically nonexistent. You have to chase them down just to find out where your order is at. Processing takes forever and nobody reaches out to you with updates. I ordered a couple of aluminum blinds on September 12th and it's October 1st and I'm still waiting with zero communication from them about when they'll show up.
Really pleased with what we got. We've ordered blinds from Blinds Chalet for 4 different rooms and everything has been great quality with a nice appearance for the price point. We picked top-down bottom up style and had one unit that came defective and wouldn't hang properly. We didn't know about their satisfaction guarantee at first, so we didn't reach out for about 6 months. When we finally did contact them, they sent a replacement immediately with no hassle. The customer service came through for us.
The colors you order are not the colors you get. I had four pleated shades installed and discovered they were all the wrong shade, appearing as a light gray. The contractor confirmed they're all identical. What arrived was a light whitish gray, nothing like the warm cocoa and antique pewter I specifically ordered, which were supposed to be the darkest options available for that style. Only the top and bottom rails matched the right color tones in brown and dark gray. I called multiple times and finally got a response, but they just said they'd check with the manufacturer. They basically admitted they're just a storefront with no real customer support. The manufacturer claimed everything was made correctly. The company's response to my complaint was that it was the lighting in my windows. This was a cloudy evening in late November at 4 pm, so that explanation makes no sense. I asked them to remake the blinds. Their only offer was for me to donate the shades to charity and get a partial refund if I provided proof. That's not a solution.
Read the fine print carefully! The company advertises a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, but that's not the whole story. You have to buy optional coverage when you order, or else you're completely on the hook for the blinds even if they don't work for you. And honestly, even with the extra protection, you end up paying more anyway because it doesn't cover much. I've never seen a company operate this way. Order sample colors first because what you see online doesn't match reality. I got shades that were completely different from what I thought I was purchasing and was basically told that was on me for not getting samples ahead of time. The product description said fabric facing, but what arrived looked like cheap plastic vinyl. The website also doesn't have many photos to look at. Plus the prices are steep for what you're getting. I felt taken advantage of from start to finish. Proceed with caution!
