Couples Resorts Reviews

My family and I took what we hoped would be an amazing vacation to Jamaica in early 2024 and booked a stay at Couples Resort in Tower Isle. On our second day, we signed up for a snorkeling excursion through the hotel. During the tour, the boat flipped over and went down. The crew members tried their best to assist us, but they weren't properly trained, there were no life jackets available, and we guests ended up having to take charge and conduct our own rescue while out in the water. Once we got back to land, a manager collected our information but that was basically it. There was zero follow up and no acknowledgment of how scary and upsetting the whole thing was. I'm really disappointed and heartbroken that a vacation we'd been looking forward to and saving up for turned into a nightmare situation that caused us real trauma. Nobody at Couples Resort seems interested in hearing about it, even now half a year later. We were promised the accident would be reviewed and that they'd implement better safety procedures and possibly provide some kind of settlement. Instead, Couples has completely ignored all of our attempts to communicate. It really makes you question what would have to go wrong for Couples Resort to actually care and take guest safety seriously. I have to warn people to look elsewhere because if something bad happens, don't expect the hotel to actually be there for you afterwards.
