What Shoppers Say About Checksforless.com
Checksforless.com has a divided customer base. Long-term customers praise the company's reliability and consistent quality over many years, with at least one business owner reporting successful orders since 2004. However, the majority of recent reviews describe significant quality and customer service problems. Multiple shoppers report receiving checks with defects including thin paper stock, color inconsistencies, missing security features like holograms, and alignment issues that render checks unusable with accounting software. Customers also cite frustration with the company's 90-day complaint window and unresponsive customer service when issues are reported.
The low ratings primarily stem from quality control inconsistencies and what shoppers perceive as poor customer service responsiveness. Several reviewers note that the company's low prices appear to come at the expense of product quality and materials. Shoppers report difficulty getting issues resolved even when they provide samples and follow up multiple times. The overall pattern suggests potential recent deterioration in quality or service standards, as newer customers express disappointment after trying the service to reduce costs.

Sorted by: Most recentBeen ordering from them since I started my business back in 2004 and they've consistently provided excellent quality checks and envelopes throughout the years. They're reliable and I trust them completely with all my check needs.
We wanted to cut costs so we decided to try them out, but we should have trusted our instincts about why their prices were so incredibly low. The ordering went okay and took a bit longer than we're used to. When the checks arrived, the paper felt really thin and cheap overall. There was no hologram security feature like we usually get, though they did have other protective elements. We also spotted weird discoloration on about every 5 to 10 checks along the edges in random places that looked like moisture damage with smudged ink. I compared their checks to our usual ones at our bank and the teller said both were technically usable, but she pointed out that in today's world you really need all the security features possible. She also thought those random marks were strange. We sent them back and switched back to our longtime check provider. I emailed them explaining all this and requesting a return since we were well within the return period, but I never got any response back.
I placed an order for the same checks as before with no changes requested. What arrived had color differences, lighter stock, and different borders. When I called to complain, they told me I only had 90 days to report issues. Plus the new checks seem to be lower quality overall.
I ordered checks formatted for 3 per page to work with my accounting software and I've been a customer for years. My latest order came in with vertical alignment problems that made them unusable with my system. I called customer service and mailed them a sample of the misaligned product. After weeks of waiting and sending multiple follow-up emails, I haven't gotten any response whatsoever. I'd really encourage anyone looking for checks to find a supplier that actually takes care of their customers.
