When a company is this far behind on orders, they shouldn't keep accepting new ones. At this point I've lost all hope of ever seeing this item. I'd suggest shopping elsewhere.
Stay away from backorders and anything labeled as a special order. I placed an order for a specialty sword in early February with a couple of installment payments, then did two more in March until it was completely paid off. By the time August rolled around, I reached out asking when it would ship. They said they're still working on it and expect it soon since it's a special order, and offered me a refund option. I declined and asked them to send it once it arrived. Eight months after paying in full and still nothing, which is longer than I've ever waited from any other company I've dealt with. I'm really questioning whether I want to do business with them again. Also worth noting that some of their other products have quality issues like helmet liners coming loose from bad adhesive without proper fasteners, or missing liners entirely. I've had to replace leather handles on a couple items myself. Their sword blades and hilts are excellent quality though, same with their mail and plate armor options. I actually tried getting this sword back in 2021 but bailed after waiting three months with no updates.
Got a really bad quality item that was expensive, and the company won't take it back. They kept promising to send me a compensation letter for almost a month straight, but it never showed up. Their customer service is honestly terrible. They just keep repeating how busy they are, and honestly with the number of complaints they seem to get, that doesn't surprise me. Stay away from this place.

PayPal customers get charged right away even if items are on backorder and haven't shipped yet. I've been sitting around waiting seven weeks now and their answer was basically come back in a few more weeks.
