What Shoppers Say About Bakscape
Bakscape is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 5 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The primary complaints center on product durability and customer service failures. Multiple reviewers report that shavers stopped working within months to a year of use, with particular concerns about battery and charging issues in the second generation model. Even more problematic, shoppers consistently describe an unresponsive company: replacement units promised months ago never arrived, customer service messages go unanswered for extended periods, and the business has apparently become unreachable or ceased operations entirely. One reviewer noted that even the Better Business Bureau could not contact the company.
The one positive review acknowledges the product concept is sound and the shaver can work adequately with practice, though it requires a learning curve and the grip design feels weak. This same reviewer noted the subscription model for replacement heads exists but raised concerns about ordering logistics. No shoppers report recommending this store or having positive recent experiences with customer support.

Sorted by: Most recentInitially, I was really happy with what I got. The customer service was fantastic and the product performed exactly as expected. Then my shaver stopped working and I needed a replacement. They said they'd include one with my subscription order next month. That was half a year back, and now they've shut down completely. They took my money and plenty of other customers' cash too.
Got my first unit back in early 2024. Worked fine for a whole year, then the head stopped functioning. I bought a replacement and mentioned the original problem. They knocked a bit off the price for my second order. Used the new head maybe three times over a month before it died too. I've messaged them multiple times since late 2025 with zero response. They seem unwilling to stand behind their defective products.
The battery kept draining on me and I was stuck waiting for a warranty swap. They claimed they shipped it in September, but it never arrived and I haven't heard anything from them since, even after reaching out multiple times. I'd suggest finding another option for your body grooming. The Better Business Bureau couldn't even get ahold of them. Honestly terrible support.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The product itself is just average, and it really needs some trial and error to use it right. The blades dull pretty fast even though I don't have much body hair. The real problem is the 2nd generation model has a battery and charger problem that seems to be widespread based on what I found online. Eventually it stops taking a charge and turns into a brick. When I reached out to support, they emailed back initially and acted like they'd send a replacement, but I never got a tracking number. Then radio silence. They won't pick up calls, they ignore emails, and their chat goes unanswered. I think this widespread defect has stretched this small company too thin and they're closing up shop.
The concept is solid and the shaver works well, but you'll need to spend time getting used to it before you nail the technique. The grip feels a touch weak and mine actually slipped out once. Thankfully it was simple to snap back together and it still works fine. They offer a subscription model for replacement heads, but if you're ordering to the UK, the shipping fees make it pretty pricey.
