We kept experiencing shipping headaches throughout our time as customers. During a two-month window, essentially every box had damage issues. The meals themselves weren't necessarily ruined, but the carrier they hired is just terrible. Roughly fifty percent of shipments would have missing pieces - proteins, vegetables, whatever. And virtually always, the recipe instructions were missing. After repeatedly having to contact their customer service team, I decided to quit my subscription.

Our experience included constant shipping complications. In a two-month period, nearly every single package showed up damaged. While not all the meals were affected, the delivery company they work with is absolutely unreliable. We'd find ourselves missing components about half the time - things like proteins and fresh produce. And almost without fail, the instruction cards were nowhere to be found. I got exhausted from constantly phoning their support team to report issues, so I terminated my membership.

We ran into shipping troubles constantly with this service. Over the span of two months, basically every single box arrived damaged or broken open. Sometimes the actual meals stayed okay, but the courier they partner with just isn't reliable. About half the time, we'd be missing ingredients like meat or veggies. And the recipe cards? Almost never there. I got fed up with calling customer service repeatedly to complain, so I decided to end my subscription.

I've given this service multiple opportunities, yet the overall experience continues to decline. I clicked skip on an order using their app, but they charged and delivered it anyway, despite us being out of the state that week. There was no ambiguity here - the order status clearly indicated skipped, yet Home Chef proceeded with shipping it. In addition, my previous shipment was delayed by several days and arrived with bad food. They refunded the spoiled shipment, but refused to process a refund for the erroneous order that was shipped without my authorization, even though the error was theirs. The unreliable shipping, buggy platform, and inadequate support leave me unable to endorse Home Chef. Other rivals in the meal kit space offer much better service and accountability.

They did provide a refund for that damaged order, but they denied a refund for the incorrectly shipped box, claiming it wasn't their responsibility. Given the shipping unreliability, faulty ordering system, and weak customer service response, I cannot endorse Home Chef. There are definitely better meal subscription options available with superior service quality.

Home Chef has been treating us really well. We've been ordering from them every week for about two years now. It's made our dinner planning so much simpler and takes the pressure off figuring out what to cook each night. Sure, there have been a few times when something got left out of a box or a package arrived damaged, but overall it's been the most dependable option out there. We tested several other meal kit services before settling on this one - some just threw everything in haphazardly, some cost way too much, and some just didn't taste good. Home Chef keeps everything organized, their packaging is excellent, the flavors are usually spot-on, and they're quite consistent most of the time. I'm sticking with them for the long haul.

Home Chef delivers right on schedule and the meal quality is consistently good. The recipes are straightforward and quick to finish.

Pretty happy overall with my experience. I occasionally don't get all the instruction cards, but I'm satisfied with the ingredient freshness, how complete the meals are, the flavor profiles of the recipes, and how straightforward everything is to prepare.

We absolutely adore everything about Home Chef! The flavor of their food and recipes is incredible - our family keeps saying while we're eating that it might be the tastiest meal we've had. Home Chef takes all the guesswork out of dinner planning, and given how hectic our schedules are, we absolutely LOVE that aspect. They handle it all for you - they portion everything out - supply every ingredient you'll need - include the recipe instructions - and they even throw in the baking dishes! It's uncommon to find a company this dependable, but Home Chef absolutely delivers on what they promise. We're seriously impressed by everything they do!
