I'd give them lower if I could. I watched my account get breached in real time with funds being liquidated. When I contacted support, they said not to worry since the account was locked and funds were secure. I needed to upload a photo ID and do a facial verification to regain access, but their system kept rejecting it as too blurry. Once I regained access, all my money was gone. So I had to verify my identity twice to get back in, but the attackers didn't need any verification to steal everything. They liquidated almost my entire balance, withdrew it to a bank account I don't own in a state I don't live in, and Coinbase didn't flag any of this. Later Coinbase said they'd connect me with an investigator, but only after I unlock my account which requires ID and facial verification again. Why wasn't I told about this team when I first called to lock my account? Their response was they can only help after I unlock and reverify myself.
My account got shut down with no reason given. They notified me it was happening and I asked support for clarification. Support said it was probably a mistake. Now the account is just closed.
They keep calling my elderly father who can't hear and asking him to download an app after messaging him. Who operates like this? He invested some money last year right after losing my mother, and now he's lost that investment. After losing his spouse of over six decades, he really doesn't need this stress. They need to leave him alone. Unfortunately I don't have a reference number since he doesn't understand what's happening, so there's nothing else I can provide. Let's just leave it at that.
