Picked up a socket set from Aldi this week because I needed to swap out a coil spring on my vehicle and wanted an extra set of tools. The deal was unbeatable at around eight bucks. I used my long breaker bar with the wheel nuts, which were really stuck tight, so I figured it'd be a good test for the seventeen millimeter socket. I grabbed an extra piece of metal to extend my reach and had to use some serious force to crack those nuts loose. The socket from Aldi held up perfectly under all that stress. Honestly, I was skeptical about the quality for the price, but these tools really came through. The sockets and ratchet are so solid that I ended up using them instead of my pricier set. If you need decent tools without breaking the bank, I'm recommending this set without question.

I was at a store in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and the cashier made me unload my cart and move to another lane. Said my items would slow her down. Funny thing is, she didn't tell the three other people waiting behind me to move. That's not my problem. Her attitude was incredibly unfriendly, and when I called her out on it, she got defensive. Why are they employing people like this?

I've been a customer for a long time, but I won't be coming back anymore. I found old stock sitting on the shelves that had passed its date. I've decided to take my business somewhere else.

Check out the upscale competitor running under a different brand name. I'm not buying my whole grocery list here, but as a steady customer I'm pleased. My one piece of advice: watch out with the general merchandise section. You'll find some amazing deals with solid quality, but there's also some garbage mixed in, and exchanging those items is pretty annoying from what I've seen. If your budget is tight and fancy stores are out of reach, I think Aldi is worth your time.

If you want upscale shopping, there's always the higher-end option under the Trader Joe name. I don't buy everything here, but I shop regularly and it works great for me. One heads up though: be careful with non-food items. Some are fantastic quality at rock-bottom prices, while others are honestly junk. Returns on those items can be a hassle too, as I learned. For folks who can't afford to shop everywhere at premium stores, I'd definitely recommend giving Aldi a shot.

Terrible online experience. Skip ordering through their website and shop in person instead. The online customer service team is useless and can't help you when something goes wrong with your order. They outsource to a third-party delivery app which is equally awful.

For years, shopping at my Lenoir NC store has been fantastic. I've consistently had wonderful visits, and I even got to know one of the employees who would greet me by name. Unfortunately, things have shifted in recent months. My overall experience isn't bad exactly, but it's definitely not as enjoyable as it used to be. Chesnee really made a difference there. I don't know what happened to her or why she's not working anymore, but she was outstanding. If you ask other regulars from that location, they'll tell you the same thing.

Grabbed some ingredients from my local Aldi and put together an awesome meal with them. The pricing is spot on and the store has plenty of stuff to pick from. They've got tons of seasonal items available too. Definitely worth checking out.
