AmScope's support team was polite, but I was really let down by how they handled my issue. I contacted them about a microscope that malfunctioned from day one. After going through multiple troubleshooting steps and explaining the problem in detail, I asked them to either repair it, replace it, or offer some kind of reasonable solution. They refused to help at all because I couldn't find my original receipt. They wouldn't verify the product by model or serial number, wouldn't offer to repair it, and wouldn't make any exceptions even when I asked to escalate. It's frustrating to have a product that never worked right. Companies can have policies, but good customer service also means using some common sense and standing behind what you sell. That didn't happen. I'd really think twice before ordering from this company.

I ordered an AmScope SM-4 trinocular stereo microscope from a distributor outside the US and had serious problems right out of the box. The binocular image wouldn't fuse properly - the fields from each eyepiece didn't line up, which made it impossible to use. I got a replacement sent, but it had the exact same issue, only worse. When I looked it over carefully, I found major problems: the binocular alignment was completely off, there was contamination inside the optical system, extra glue blocking the light path, a missing internal screw in the prism assembly, and visible chips on the prism edges. These aren't simple fixes or calibration issues. This is poor assembly and terrible quality control. The microscope can't function as it's supposed to in binocular mode because the internal components are put together wrong and physically damaged. What worries me most is that the replacement had the same or worse defects. This shows a serious systemic quality control problem at the company.

I ordered a camera for my microscope and they shipped me some weird reduction lens instead. They didn't care at all about the wrong item, wouldn't help me return it, and weren't interested in helping me out at all. Worst company I've ever done business with.

Don't waste your money on AmScope. I spent a fair amount of money for this microscope and it's basically junk. The parts are cheap and poorly made, not worth anywhere near what I paid. Save yourself the trouble and buy from someone else.

This company's customer service is excellent. The team is genuinely dedicated to making sure you get the right equipment for your specific microscope setup. They've helped me out several times when I picked the wrong part, and they did it with real enthusiasm.

I was really excited about this microscope but it let me down big time. The images are fuzzy with no detail and the resolution is weak, so it's hard to see anything clearly. The built-in light is too dim to properly light up the specimens, which makes it really hard to use. It also didn't come with a glass cover slip, which you need for preparing slides correctly. When you use the USB camera on a computer, it won't show the full screen, just a tiny window. I'd rate the microscope itself a 5 out of 10, but everything else about the package and accessories deserves a 0.

I wish I'd looked at the reviews before I bought their lamp with magnifier. After I placed the order, I started reading the bad feedback and got nervous since I hadn't heard anything about delivery. The tracking link they sent me didn't even work. When I checked my account, the item hadn't shipped yet. I emailed their customer service asking for a delivery date or I'd cancel, and suddenly it supposedly got dispatched, which locked me in and prevented me from canceling without expensive return shipping. It turned out the thing was being sent from Germany, not the UK like I thought, even though they have UK offices. Nobody could give me a delivery date, and then one day it just showed up with a follow-up email saying there had been shipping delays beyond their control and I should expect it soon, which made no sense since it was already here. These guys have no idea where their packages are or when they'll arrive. The good news is the product actually works and I'm satisfied with how it performs. The bad news is it looks like it had been used or returned before they sent it to me.

Don't buy this! The microscope worked okay at first but the light quit working really fast. When I called customer service, they said a component needed replacing and I'd have to pay 20 dollars for it. We'd only had the microscope for a few months and barely used it, maybe 5 times. When we complained that we shouldn't have to pay for repairs on something basically brand new, they insisted we had to. Skip this brand entirely.

I bought an articulating arm with focusing rack and an annular LED light from their European site, and the shipping from Germany to Italy was incredibly fast - ordered on a Tuesday and had it by Friday. I was worried after seeing all the negative reviews, so I opened a support ticket with questions about shipping and they got back to me in less than 24 hours with great answers. The email support has been excellent throughout. The products themselves have good quality for the price point. The only minor complaint is that the focusing rack is a bit weak - if you put much finger pressure on it, it moves too easily. Overall it's been a great purchase for my setup with a Zeiss stereomicroscope head.

The microscope arrived on time, but then everything fell apart. When we tried to set it up, the stage wouldn't move the way it should. I only found out because I checked with FedEx myself. This mistake cost me money and added over 9 more days to my wait. AmScope never apologized or explained what went wrong. This company is terrible and I hope these bad reviews hurt their reputation the way they hurt mine.

When I tried to order an accessory for my microscope, my card kept getting declined and the transaction appeared to fail both times. Then I checked my banking app and realized my account got charged twice. I feel like I've been ripped off, and based on what I've read in other reviews, AmScope won't do anything to help me resolve this.

This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I can't get anyone to pick up the phone, they don't return voicemails, and they ignore emails and messages through their website. I bought a $400 microscope that came missing a part, and I've sent multiple emails about it with zero response.

I ordered the microscope directly from them and had it shipped to my company address in an office building. They used FedEx for delivery. When I didn't receive it, I reached out and they told me to contact FedEx, who said it was delivered but signed for by someone other than me. AmScope refused to refund me and kept saying the package was delivered, ignoring my point that they should have required my signature or worked it out with FedEx directly. I had to use my credit card's fraud protection to get my money back. A month later the box turned up outside our office - obviously FedEx delivered to the wrong spot and our neighbor sent it over. Throughout this whole mess, AmScope acted arrogant and dismissive. They knew what happened but wouldn't do anything. By the way, there are tons of microscopes out there with displays that work way better and cost less than half the price. AmScope should be out of business soon because they don't deserve to be around. They definitely don't deserve your money.
