I recently started the Jazz Saxophone course with Eric Marienthal through ArtistWorks. The course layout is excellent and loaded with useful stuff like backing tracks and sheet music. The video quality is fantastic and really informative. After looking at several other online music education options, I'd definitely suggest ArtistWorks for musicians of any experience level.

I had no idea that an online learning platform could be this customized or work this well. The Virtual Exchanges are incredible and so affordable, just a few dollars per video submission. I submit videos weekly, which means I get roughly fifty personalized responses and critiques from THE Tony Trischka each year. This is a legend taking time to hear me play banjo and help me grow as a player. The past month has been transformative for me musically. When people ask who I've learned from, I tell them Tony Trischka, and their jaws drop. Then I explain that he watches my videos and gives me feedback every single week. ArtistWorks created an online education experience I didn't even know was possible.

The fiddle lessons I finished this year with Darol Anger have been fantastic! He brings so much knowledge that he's got solid answers for almost every challenge I throw at him. I play in an unconventional way, and instead of pushing the traditional approach, he's supported my style and provided alternatives. I'm making progress with what I already have rather than having to start fresh. Plus he's really supportive and motivating! I also want to give a shout out to the ArtistWorks customer support team. I've been taking Sierra's mandolin course for the past three years. Response times can be a bit slow occasionally, but that's a small price to pay for getting world-class one-on-one instruction from a professional touring mandolinist at local music lesson rates. The feedback on video submissions is incredibly thorough and packed with useful information. She clearly puts serious thought into every response. When ArtistWorks has had technical issues, they've fixed them quickly. I've read about other people having problems with the platform, mostly from a while back, so hopefully those kinks are being ironed out.

This is a fantastic way to build your skills and grow as a musician.

Look, if someone told me I'd have to make a deal with the devil to study banjo with Noam Pikelny, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Yeah, the website interface could be smoother and customer support isn't always consistent, but honestly none of that matters to me. What really counts is the quality of the personalized feedback you get through video interactions, which blows away anything I could find locally. I can't speak to other courses here, but this banjo program is absolutely worth every penny.

The lessons are really good. My only wish is that the cost could be a bit lower, though I think it's fair value for what you're getting. If you play multiple instruments, the fees can stack up fast. An option to access everything at one price would be perfect!

The Martin Taylor school here is absolutely fantastic. Once I got the hang of navigating the platform, I discovered tons of instructional content for every skill level. Just being able to observe a musician of his caliber performing in such an informal way makes the membership fee worth it by itself. I'd definitely recommend it.

Took a bluegrass class and loved it!

I signed up for Paul Gilbert's Rock School on ArtistWorks and it's been excellent. Paul is both a skilled guitarist and an inspiring instructor. The online program has really helped me develop my lead guitar abilities. The platform itself works really well too.

I'm learning harmonica in my spare time, and the fundamentals taught here are solid. Without these lessons, I'd probably stay stuck at the same level, but this approach lets me improve gradually based on how much time I can dedicate. They say mastery takes ten thousand hours, so at my pace that's years away, yet it's a passion project with expert guidance the whole way.
