This was an absolutely terrible encounter with Autoplicity. Our business needed a replacement awning arm that wasn't available from the manufacturer, so we tried ordering through Autoplicity. What a disaster that turned out to be. Not only did we pay way too much, but when we opened the package at our customer's site, it was clearly used, not new like we paid for. There's no excuse for that kind of quality control failure when you're sending out new merchandise. The box looked fresh from the manufacturer, so we had no way to know. What made it worse was dealing with their incompetent support team for multiple days. We just wanted the new arm we paid for. Instead we're stuck managing the defective unit. This morning we got an automated message saying they issued an RMA for immediate pickup without a single phone call asking if that worked for us. We're a small operation and can't just sit around waiting for a carrier. Autoplicity needs to do the right thing and ship out the correct part first, then have us return the bad one. This whole situation is unacceptable.
They had a listing with a picture of an aluminum seat base extension, and the price looked great, but if you read the fine print you'll see it's actually for a boat seat. I've asked to send it back but haven't heard anything from this place. Be careful when you buy here.
Got sent the wrong part and got hit with a 40 percent restocking charge plus return shipping fees. Had to pay out of pocket for shipping back to them too. I'm ordering from Amazon next time and avoiding this place. The restocking fee disclaimer didn't even say how much it would be. That's outrageous. Plus they charged me over $33 for postage out of my own wallet, then still tacked on almost $8 more for their return label. This is ridiculous.
