The representative told me everything was fine and said Avianca doesn't automatically cancel return flights like other airlines do. That turned out to be a complete lie. The night before my flight home, I discovered it had been axed. Avianca claimed they looked into it but couldn't locate the call recording and refused to admit fault even though seats were available. I had to purchase a one-way ticket at full price, which cost me as much as my whole round-trip originally was. This is dishonest and unprofessional behavior. I'm done with this airline.
Incredibly tight seating. I splurged on business class and it was shockingly uncomfortable. Another time I paid for extra legroom seats and they were awful too. The entire flight the internet was down. This is hands down the worst airline out there. You should really avoid them.
Really bad experience on a flight from the hub city. After a two hour delay, we rode the shuttle out to immigration. When we got to baggage claim, it took over an hour for our luggage to show up on the carousel.
