This is a subscription scam. Charges are being automatically applied to accounts without customers actually ordering or agreeing to anything. When I called and complained, they tried to say that just going online means you're subscribing. That makes no sense. This is clearly a way to sneak extra charges onto your bill.

Keep a close eye on what's happening with your account. I placed an order in November for a pre-lit decorated Christmas tree which I sent back because it looked nothing like the picture. When I reviewed my bank statement recently, I found two separate charges of $16.95 plus monthly perks membership fees totaling $50.85 that I never authorized. They claimed it was refunded but it wasn't. After going back and forth with them repeatedly, the credit department finally admitted I had $49.65 sitting in a credit account. My options were either a check mailed from the company or a credit card that would take 30 days to process. Since my account was paid off and I don't plan to order again, I asked them to close it. There are definitely dishonest people working there who use misleading tactics.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I bought two cabinets that needed assembly, and I consider myself handy but it was a disaster. Twenty-two parts and I managed to get four assembled before the whole thing collapsed. Missing hardware, loose pegs, and these plastic connectors that just spin and fall out. I ended up buying metal brackets, drilling my own holes, using glue, and taping things in place just to get it somewhat stable. After three days of work, I still couldn't assemble more than four pieces before it fell apart again. The material isn't real wood, it's cheap composite that warps and doesn't align properly. Customer service refused to refund the second unopened cabinet and said I'd have to pay for return shipping via FedEx on a heavy box. This company sells cheap low-quality products made overseas and they know it, which explains their terrible return policy. I apologized to myself plenty but never got a refund. I'm out the cost of extra shipping, return shipping, supplies to repair it, hours of wasted time, and the full return cost on the unopened cabinet. They're okay for small items like rugs or decorations, but don't waste your money on furniture or anything substantial. They don't stand behind their products.

Absolutely avoid this retailer. I ordered some Christmas gifts for my relatives at their address using my account, and without my permission, they created an account for them and charged them directly. After waiting over an hour to speak with someone, I was told I'd need to pay for a notarized statement if I wanted it handled under my account. It's completely wrong to set up an account in someone else's name and bill them. This feels like straight-up fraud.

Horrible experience trying to return something. Customer service told me they don't provide return labels to customers, which is crazy. Then the representative claimed they're not responsible if you order the wrong size, even though I got the size wrong on a hat. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told they would just repeat the same thing. What kind of business refuses to give return labels? I'm never buying from them again and I'm definitely reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

What a nightmare. I bought a Queen sheet set that was supposed to be $30 but the shipping came to over $40, and they sent a Full size instead. I asked for a return label and got transferred around for hours. The representative kept putting me on hold and then disconnected me. It happened twice. When I finally reached someone, I couldn't understand what they were saying about whether they'd exchange it or send a label. Their shipping charges are insane, the quality is terrible, and the staff is completely unhelpful. I'm done with Country Door.

Stay away from this company. You can tell they're not trustworthy by how they price things, like charging double the normal price for basic items such as standard paint brands. Major red flags.

Don't shop here if you care about fair return policies and reasonable shipping costs.

Customer service here is really disappointing. Most reputable retailers will give you a price adjustment if something you bought goes on sale within 30 days. My sister has been a loyal customer for years and spent good money on her orders, but they won't even offer free shipping ever, period. She'd be charged $30 or $40 just for shipping. That's outrageous compared to places like Amazon Prime or other companies that throw in free shipping deals. But not here, no matter how much you spend, you'll never get free shipping. When she called about getting a discount on an item that dropped in price shortly after purchase, they flat out refused. It's incredibly frustrating as a customer when you're already paying full price for expensive merchandise.

This is a total scam. They collect your info and claim you have a credit line, but never give you an account number. When you call back, they say they can't locate your order or find you in their system. Nothing but lies and more lies.

Sketchy and dishonest business practices. This was my first time ordering from Country Door and the experience was awful. I called twice and waited over 50 minutes on hold, and during one call a rep asked for my Social Security number which I refused to give them for security reasons. Asking for that makes no sense for a purchase and seems like questionable business conduct. I ordered a garden shed on May 5th that was supposed to arrive May 14th. It's now May 20th and I still don't have it. I've tried calling multiple times and can't get answers.
