Dick Blick always stocks excellent art supplies for reasonable money. Delivery could be a touch quicker for my taste, but they do a solid job protecting everything in transit.

Really liked shopping with Blick until my last watercolor paper order went sideways. Got the first shipment looking like it went through a crusher, packed in some nasty old box. Tried again with a replacement and it appeared to be packed nicely but had dirty fingerprints on a pair of the sheets. Never encountered an art supply place that doesn't wrap paper properly and uses such grimy packaging. I shared photos showing the damage. The initial box got destroyed and didn't hold the sheets flat. Those fingerprints were already there when I opened it, so they definitely weren't made by me.

Blick treated me well as a customer until my most recent order of watercolor paper sheets. My first shipment arrived mangled in a worn-out box. The replacement order showed up looking fine but had visible fingerprints smudged onto a couple sheets. I've never dealt with an art supply company that sends unprotected paper in such crummy boxes before. I provided photographic evidence. That first box was totally smashed and failed to keep the sheets in good shape. Plus those fingerprints definitely got on the paper before I opened it, they weren't from handling on my end.

It's shocking that any art supply retailer would ship paper without protective plastic wrap in such poor packaging. I documented everything with pictures. The original box was completely crushed and didn't protect the sheets at all. And those fingerprints definitely weren't from me since they were already on the paper inside the sealed box.
