I picked up one of their candles and I'm seriously let down. When I opened the box, there was barely any smell coming from it, and even after burning it for about three and a half hours, nothing really changed. It put out almost no fragrance at all. The quality just doesn't match what you're paying for it, and it doesn't stand up to other luxury candle brands that perform way better. I was really hoping this would become my favorite candle brand but honestly I feel foolish for spending that much money on it.

Their prices are way too high and the staff attitude is terrible. Especially avoid the manager at the location in Marylebone. Walking in there felt like sitting through a sermon at church.

I went to their store in Covent Garden and this shop staff member Irfan was super helpful and attentive. He wrapped my candle purchase beautifully and even put a little seal on the bag. It came out looking really nice and special. Thanks so much for taking such good care of me.

This has to be the perfect brand. I order from Diptyque regularly here in the US and can speak to how great it is. The few times something went wrong with my orders, the team handled it fast and with real care. I even accidentally had something shipped to the wrong address, and the rep pulled out all the stops to get it corrected before it was too late. Whether you're shopping in-store or online in the US, London, or Paris, you get that same quality experience.

Update: Customer service basically told me no dice on refunding the extra shipping charge I paid for their next day delivery that they didn't meet. I paid extra for next working day delivery but the order didn't even ship for 5 working days, totally blowing past what they promised at checkout. This was supposed to be a gift, but because they dropped the ball, I showed up to the party empty handed and had to apologize. I've been loyal for more than 10 years, so I reached out hoping they'd help fix this situation since I've lost trust in their online ordering. Their customer service response was pretty rude and dismissive, nowhere near acceptable. They wouldn't even refund the shipping fee or throw in a free product as a goodwill gesture, something I know Jo Malone, Frederic Malle, Nest, and Le Labo would absolutely do. Super disappointed and won't be ordering from them again.

I wish I could give zero stars for my visit to their location. I went in to pick up some nice gift items for friends but felt like I wasn't important compared to the other customers in there. The employees completely overlooked me and seemed to focus only on the older shoppers. I think it had something to do with what I was wearing, like they judged me for my casual athletic gear. Big mistake on their part because I took my business elsewhere and picked up three 100ml bottles there instead. The staff made me feel completely invisible.

UPDATE: To be fair, Diptyque did respond reasonably fast, but they basically said the transport team would try delivering again, which doesn't really solve much.

The candles smell absolutely wonderful with a robust fragrance that sticks around for ages. The downside is they left discoloration marks all around my home that I haven't been able to get rid of.
