Gotham Cigars Reviews
Gotham Cigars is currently rated 1.0 out of 5 by 3 shoppers, with all reviews giving one star. Shoppers report serious issues with shipping delays, with orders taking an unusually long time to process and ship, then sitting in transit for extended periods. When customers complained about delays, the store attributed problems to postal service issues rather than taking responsibility. Additionally, multiple reviewers received cigars in poor condition, with products arriving dried out and unsmokable, making them unsuitable for use.
While one long-time customer noted they had shopped at Gotham Cigars without problems in the past, recent experiences have been consistently negative. The store did offer a credit for damaged merchandise in at least one case, but replacements reportedly arrived with the same quality issues. Customers express frustration with both the shipping experience and product condition, with some indicating they would not recommend the retailer to others.
Totally failed me on this purchase. I'm so frustrated that I'm actually looking into legal options right now. First, it took them an incredibly long time to even get my order shipped out, and then it sat in transit forever - but when I complained they just blamed it all on the postal service. Their customer service after taking my money is absolutely terrible. The communication throughout this whole thing has been a disaster. Save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else!
I've been shopping here for years without any real issues until recently. Ordered Russian Cremes and they showed up completely dried out and basically unusable. Gotham gave me a credit which was nice, but when I got my replacement order it was the same problem all over again - dry, brittle, totally unsmokable. I reached out to their customer service several times and got nothing back until I made a bigger deal about it. It's clear there's no quality checking happening on their end, and honestly it shouldn't be my job to hound a company to fix their mistakes. At this point after getting two bad orders in a row, I'm really questioning whether I'll order from them ever again. When a company doesn't care about customers who've been loyal or stand behind what they're selling, that's not someone I can support or tell my friends about.
