According to Havenly's quote, in-person design would cost me 299 dollars, with 99 dollars for each additional room when using a discount code. I looked through their roster of designers in my area and picked one, but they aren't booking appointments for another month. After making my selection, I was told to log in, but I couldn't find any indication in my account that my project had even been started. The chatbot was pretty unhelpful.

The experience fell far short of what I was hoping for. I was expecting to see my actual room with items placed in it, but instead I just got lists of products to buy. Nothing was ever shown in a visual representation of my specific space. Spending time rating endless product lists wasn't appealing to me. I explained what I wanted during my initial consultation. I don't feel like I got any real value for what I paid. When I brought up my frustration pretty quickly and asked for my money back, I didn't hear anything in response. All I got was another request to rate the service! The designer is probably talented, but the actual system isn't working well. At the end of the day, I paid for something and received nothing useful.

I'm really grateful to the Havenly crew, particularly Claire Sapone, who stepped in to help when my mom had to move quickly from her longtime house into a small studio at her new assisted living place. Claire worked absolute magic putting together a floor plan and selecting fresh furniture to make the most of that limited footprint. Her design brought in a calming color scheme and beautiful natural wood tones alongside my mom's most loved pieces mixed with new classic furniture to build a cottage-style sanctuary. Although some aspects of the Havenly platform could use improvement, my designer Jessica was absolutely fantastic. I was really happy with the design work that Jess did for me. What stood out to me is that Jess genuinely cared about my satisfaction, regardless of commission considerations. She invested time helping me pick the right paint colors and flooring for my new bedroom. She stayed involved and available throughout the whole project. I'd work with Havenly and with Jess again in a heartbeat.

I can only speak to my experience with the virtual package, which unfortunately has been really disappointing. The designer has been slow to get back to me, sometimes taking weeks between responses, and the overall communication has been lacking. Don't get me wrong, the person is nice, but it turned out to be money wasted since I didn't actually receive any meaningful design support for my space.
