JetBlue Airways Reviews
JetBlue Airways receives polarized reviews, with shoppers rating the airline at 3.6 out of 5 based on 18 customer experiences. Positive reviewers praise the airline's professional staff, organized check-in processes, punctual departures, well-maintained cabins, and smooth overall trip experiences. Negative reviewers report significant issues including staff rudeness and unprofessional behavior at gates, flight cancellations with inadequate compensation (limited hotel meal coverage, minimal Uber credits), complaints about seat assignments (particularly frequent middle seat placement), and inconsistent enforcement of carry-on baggage policies.
The rating distribution shows a notable divide: 61 percent of reviewers give five stars, while 33 percent give one star, with very few middle-ground ratings. Common frustrations center on customer service inconsistency, cancellation policies that leave travelers with minimal support, and operational fairness concerns. Satisfied customers emphasize smooth logistics and courteous treatment, while dissatisfied customers highlight gaps in passenger compensation and staff professionalism during challenging situations.
Had a terrible encounter at the gate today. A staff member became aggressive when I simply asked if they could page my daughter. She threatened to call security and treated us with complete disrespect, even stepping in to take over from another agent without reason. Her attitude was incredibly rude, and she made everything into a huge scene in front of everyone. When I tried to file a complaint afterward, nobody seemed to care or listen. This airline needs to hire people with better customer service skills and a more professional demeanor. They blow minor situations way out of proportion. I will do everything I can to avoid flying with JetBlue going forward.
I took four flights with JetBlue recently, and while things were fine enough, there were definitely some issues that left me frustrated. Three out of four times I got stuck in the middle seat. That's not random bad luck anymore, that's just poor passenger experience. Being wedged between two strangers for hours doesn't exactly make me want to fly with them again. Two of my flights also took off late, which wasn't helpful. The weird part? They emailed me asking for feedback, but only about the one flight that actually went smoothly. That was the flight where I got a window seat, the plane was half empty, and we left on schedule. It seems like JetBlue only wants to hear from customers when everything's going great and less interested in complaints when things go wrong. If you're asking for feedback, ask about the whole experience, not just the good parts.
This airline is a joke. The whole operation feels worse than riding a city bus. They canceled my flight and booked me on another one more than a day later. They wouldn't even cover breakfast at the hotel, and only after I really pushed did they throw in an Uber credit. I had paid for seats in advance on the canceled flight, but right before I boarded the new one, they told me to buy different seats without any explanation. I ended up paying nearly double and couldn't get the difference back. The next day boarding was chaotic. Watching them cram one class of passengers through a single-class aircraft took forever, almost 40 minutes. Then we took off late anyway. This isn't an airline, it's a scam. You're looking at something far below the quality you'd get in Europe.
Flying with JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala was fantastic. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The check-in process was straightforward and organized, and the staff kept up that professionalism throughout both legs of the trip. Comfort was there with well-maintained seating, punctual departures, and a clean cabin environment. The in-flight entertainment kept us occupied, and the service made a real difference. We felt valued as customers, and the whole journey felt stress-free. I would absolutely book JetBlue again without hesitation and highly recommend them to anyone.
My partner and I had such a smooth trip flying JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala and back. Everything ran like clockwork from check-in onward. The team members were kind and helpful at every step, and nothing felt rushed or disorganized. Both flights arrived right on time, the seats gave us good support, and the cabin was spotless. We loved the onboard entertainment and the crew's attentiveness really enhanced our journey. From start to finish, JetBlue made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. I can't wait to fly with them again and would definitely tell others to book with them.
It's frustrating that management doesn't do anything about oversized carry-ons in the overhead bins. Passengers bring way too much stuff, and the crew ends up making people like me check bags that are allowed, instead of asking the people who are actually breaking the rules to do it. This unfair treatment toward rule-followers has got to stop.
Nobody seems to care that passengers are abusing overhead bin space. People cram oversized luggage up there, but the crew turns around and makes me check my legitimate carry-on instead of telling those other folks to do the same. It's completely unfair to people who follow the rules.
Duaryd was working with JetBlue out of Aruba and he absolutely went above and beyond. Super accommodating and just all around amazing!
Had the pleasure of working with Duaryd from JetBlue's Aruba location. This guy really knows how to treat customers right, super helpful and friendly!
Duaryd from the JetBlue team in Aruba was fantastic. He made sure I felt taken care of and treated me with genuine kindness!
This airline turned into a scam after the pandemic. In 2024 I booked a flight and paid extra for the option to get my money back if I had to cancel. I did have to cancel and they refused my refund. Then I tried a claim with my JetBlue card and that got denied too. My money went into their Travel Bank instead, but that's not safe because the credits expire. I had to book another flight and use it before the deadline, which I couldn't manage. I ended up losing over three hundred dollars with no way to get it back. Never flying with them again.
Really disappointing experience overall. I asked to preboard because of a disability, but a gate agent accused me of not looking disabled enough and said the service was only for people who truly needed it. She followed me down the jet bridge and made threats about calling security, which made me feel really unsafe. The supervisor I complained to didn't help much either. The gate agent's behavior was completely out of line and violated my rights, but everyone acted like I was the problem. The social media support team tried to help after the fact, but by then the damage was done. I shouldn't have to pay extra to fly an airline with better standards, but at this point I'd rather spend the hundred bucks elsewhere. The only bright spot was decent snack options.
Just got back from London to New York on JetBlue and was really impressed. This is how budget transatlantic flights should be done. What really stood out was the legroom in economy, which felt spacious compared to competitors like British Airways and American. You actually fit comfortably instead of feeling squeezed. The food was tasty and looked appetizing, made with real ingredients unlike the stale stuff you get on other airlines. The free WiFi worked smoothly, and their app sends helpful notifications that actually matter. The flight crew was warm, professional, and genuinely made the experience feel welcoming. There were a couple of minor downsides though. The narrow-body aircraft means you feel turbulence more noticeably than on bigger planes, and there was some pretty noticeable movement throughout the flight.
JetBlue saved the day for me. Another airline's delay and cancellation meant I was going to miss my JetBlue connection. JetBlue let me switch both my airport and flight time for just a 68 dollar change fee. Really appreciate them being flexible!
I've flown a lot, and the flight itself usually feels like a drag. But this trip was different. The plane had modern amenities like solid WiFi, tons of entertainment options, and good food you can order right from your seat. We had about an hour delay, but honestly the airline made being stuck in the air feel way less painful than usual. The technology really made the biggest impact, and the flight attendants were super helpful too. I'd definitely recommend them for longer flights across the ocean. Great overall service.
