OneBlade receives sharply divided feedback, with a small group of satisfied users praising the razor's performance and shaving quality, while the majority of reviewers report significant issues. The most common complaint centers on missing chargers or inadequate charging solutions: multiple customers received rechargeable razors without included chargers, forcing returns or leaving them unable to use the product. Additional concerns include overpriced replacement blades with shorter-than-advertised lifespans (some users report two weeks of use versus claimed four-month durability), proprietary charging cables that create ongoing costs if lost, and difficulty getting comfortable with the razor's operation, with some experienced shavers reporting unusual levels of irritation and cuts.

The store's rating of 2.1 out of 5 from 11 shoppers reflects this polarization: roughly 55 percent of reviews are one-star ratings, while an equal minority (18 percent) gave five stars. For potential buyers, the critical decision point appears to be whether you prioritize the razor's performance quality (which some users genuinely value) against the practical frustrations with chargers, blade costs, and ease of use that have driven most shoppers away.

This is an excellent razor. I've owned plenty of electric razors throughout my life, and I grabbed this one based on all the positive feedback online. I'm genuinely impressed - it definitely lives up to the hype. Been shaving for forty years and I give it a ten out of ten. Got a great deal on it too. The replacement blades aren't cheap, but as long as they hold up like they're supposed to I think it's worth it. I'm shaving every couple days and getting a super close shave with zero nicks.

Why would you sell a rechargeable shaver without including the charger? Returned one to the shop over this issue and ordered another model online, and guess what - that one didn't have a charger either despite the picture on the packaging showing one. Complete waste of my time and cash. Can't even test drive something like this when you can't use it. It's like getting a car without the battery. Come on Philips, get it together.

The charger situation here is ridiculous. Razors should follow the same universal charging standards as our phones. I own three of these in my household for different family members and they each need their own specific charger. If you misplace your custom USB cable, what exactly are you supposed to do - buy a whole new razor? This feels like a scam and it's terrible for the environment. Needs to change.

Absolute garbage. I purchased the Philips OneBlade 360 model and where's the 360 part? This thing doesn't do anything right - complete junk.

Really nice razor overall, but the blade lifespan doesn't match what they claim. I'm getting about two weeks out of each blade when they say four months - though that probably assumes once-a-week usage. At that price point for replacements, I'm spending a lot every month and a half. Thinking about going back to my old Mach 3.

Robert J.Oct 26, 2024

Got the full package with all the extras. I'm not inexperienced with shaving by any means - I've been doing this for five decades. Unfortunately I couldn't get comfortable with how this works. I ended up with way more cuts in one session than I'd normally get in a whole year. Went back to regular disposable cartridge razors and haven't looked back.

Something's off about all these glowing reviews online. This thing is absolute garbage from my perspective. I've been using it for nine months now, swapped out blades and heads multiple times, but nothing helps. I've watched instructional videos on YouTube to make sure I'm doing everything right. When I trim my beard to normal length, it usually takes just a few minutes, but with this razor it's fifteen minutes or more and there are still random long hairs it missed. It's useless for trimming. The shaving part is okay but nowhere near as close as an actual razor. For something that's supposed to do both shaving and trimming, the performance just doesn't match the marketing. The only positives are that it's lightweight and the battery lasts forever, but that doesn't matter if it doesn't actually work well. Going back to a standard trimmer and razor.

Really disappointed with this product. Thankfully I only paid a couple bucks due to a deal, otherwise I'd be really frustrated. Just used it and it's honestly terrible - one of the worst razors from Philips I've tried. Spent over an hour in the shower trying to get decent results with the thing.

Marcus T.Jul 28, 2024

Disappointing blade performance. I've purchased two new pricey blades and still haven't seen any improvement. Think it's time to switch to a different brand.

Douglas P.Jul 4, 2024

It does give a close shave, I'll admit that, but the blade longevity claims don't match reality. I'm lucky to get three to four weeks when they promise four months. The replacement blades are also incredibly pricey for what you're getting. Now mine just sits around because the ongoing costs are too much. If Philips dropped their blade prices significantly, maybe I'd give it another shot. My advice to anyone considering buying? Skip it. The cost per use is just too steep. I switched back to my Remington electric and it's way more affordable.

Amazing product, but there's definitely a learning curve. I almost returned it after my first couple of uses because I had terrible razor burn. Was ready to give up, then decided to try once more. Watched their tutorial video and realized I wasn't applying enough pressure to the top - that's what keeps the blade at the correct angle. Once I got that technique down, everything changed and I love using it now. One thing I do wish they'd add is a trimming blade on top like my old Gillette Fusion had. Precise trimming is harder with this design. A separate trimmer attachment would be perfect and I'd ditch my old razor completely.
