Excellent repair experience

After years of heavy use, the main zip on my much loved AR Beta jacket failed. I had expected to have to retire it - but a call to Nicole at Arc'teryx customer services opened the way to a repair at their UK facility at Scottish Mountain Gear. I have just received it back - looks absolutely first class! And the only cost to me was outgoing postage. To stand behind a product like that more than justifies the initial cost - it wins a customer for life

“Disappointed: Not What You Expect at This Price”

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Arc'teryx and their Atom Hoody. For a premium brand with high price points, I expected much better durability. After only a few years of normal use—including travel and wearing it with a backpack—the fabric developed noticeable pilling, especially on the front. To make it even more frustrating, the backpack I used is also from Arc’teryx, so this is gear that’s supposed to be compatible and designed to work together. While customer service was polite, the response I received basically dismissed the issue as “normal wear and tear,” which is disappointing given the cost of the product. I understand that lightweight insulated layers aren’t meant to be as tough as hard shells, but for something marketed as high-performance gear, it should hold up better under realistic conditions. Most people aren’t just standing still at camp—they’re moving, traveling, and using backpacks.Suggesting a fabric shaver as the solution doesn’t really address the core issue. At this price point, customers shouldn’t need to maintain the appearance of their jacket so soon.I know my review probably won’t affect the company’s overall sales, but it might make some people think twice. If you’re planning to spend this kind of money—or even more—you may want to consider other brands that offer better durability for the price.Overall, the jacket may still function in terms of warmth, but the durability and the customer support response don’t match the premium reputation of the brand. I expected better.

Failed Order & Poor Service

I ordered this product twice—first on March 18, and again on March 20 through customer service after being informed it was unavailable in one of their shops. After paying for the same item twice, I received an email three days later stating that Arc’teryx could not ship the Satoro Merino Neck Gaiter.I contacted customer service again, only to be told that the item was not available after all. I had intended this as a birthday gift for a friend and trusted Arc’teryx to deliver, but I was ultimately let down and disappointed. What made the situation worse was that during my second purchase, the customer service representative assured me the item could be shipped from another warehouse. This turned out to be untrue, leaving me feeling misled by empty promises.I expected higher standards and better customer service from Arc’teryx, but this experience proved otherwise. No alternative solution was offered—not even a gesture like a promo code to compensate for the inconvenience.Overall, a very unprofessional experience.

Red flag when a company starts changing owners

Quality is degrading rapidly. Red flag when a company starts changing ownership, which seems to be the case here. If the products are selling, why make them worse? Why redesign every year with lower-quality materials or inconsistent fits? I’ve been a customer for over 12 years, but my recent experience was disappointing. As it happens, my order was not shipped for over five days, with no status updates—just sitting inactive on the tracking page, no notifications or updates. When I called, the representative simply told me to wait 10 business days, as if that were completely normal and expected - offered no explanation or apology. In-store experience is still very good (Toronto), and I hope it stays that way.

Arc'teryx doesn't stand by their products anymore

When I bought this rain jacket/rain pant combo (Alpha SL) in 2013, I was told it had a lifetime guarantee and if for any reason it ever failed, it would be replaced. The jacket failed some time back and started leaking water, they replaced it without question and I was really impressed. Now the pants are failing and I sent them in for repair or replacement, they said they couldn't fix them, the product has a "limited warranty", and they would offer me $89 to compensate me for a product that cost me $350.It seems Arc’Teryx is trying to amend that original guarantee and is now not living up to the promise or standing by its products anymore. Must have happened when the Chinese bought them in 2019.I am extremely disappointed to find out the original guarantee I was given was not worth the paper it was written on. I even quizzed the salesperson with different scenarios of this product being damaged and/or failing, to all of it they responded, “we would replace it”. The only reason I bought this overly priced garment was the lifetime guarantee, which apparently meant nothing. They are simply being untruthful and not standing by their product. I'll never buy Arc'teryx again. Here in Portland Oregon we have lots to choose from, including Columbia Sportwear Mountain Hardware brand rain gear which might be a far better choice for the quality minded shopper.

My experience with Arc’teryx Leaf support…

My experience with Arc’teryx support regarding my LEAF Alpha jacket has been extremely disappointing.I submitted my issue through the official LEAF website expecting support familiar with LEAF products and the standards associated with that professional line. Instead, after several back-and-forth emails over the course of a week (Friday to Friday), the representative handling my case stated that they do not stock or sell LEAF products. This was surprising considering the request was submitted through the LEAF support channel itself.Throughout the conversation, the discussion repeatedly veered away from the actual issue. The representative focused on whether I had washed the jacket correctly or used the proper cleaning products, rather than addressing the concerns I raised about the condition of the jacket after repair. My jacket is a 2019 LEAF Alpha, and it was essentially treated as if its age alone explained the problem. I even asked whether this is the expected fate of all LEAF jackets once they reach a certain age, especially since I own other LEAF jackets that do not have the same issues. The repair itself also raised concerns. The jacket appeared to have received a very minimal or cheap repair and was returned to me without proper quality control, as the same issues were still present when I got it back.At the moment, the case is supposedly pending “supervisor review,” but given the past week of back-and-forth without real progress, it feels more like a delay tactic than a genuine effort to resolve the issue. For a premium brand and a professional line like LEAF, I expected knowledgeable support, proper handling of the product, and repairs that meet the quality standards Arc’teryx is known for. Unfortunately, my experience so far has fallen far below those expectations.

Trash.

Trash.Loved the fit and of the kragg shirt, but after a couple of wears. Multiple rips started to form in different areas of the shirt. I feel that this is unacceptable for a $80 shirt. This brand is definitely over hyped. Moving forward I will be sticking to other brands such as Patagonia or North face! In addition when I reached out to customer support, they pretty much said it was just normal wear and tear. WHAT. A. JOKE!

trash customer service. The staff are unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly, arrogant. Throughout this entire ordeal, there has been zero proactive communication.

I am beyond disappointed. As a long-time supporter of Arc'teryx, this recent experience has been a complete nightmare. First, the product quality is appalling. For a piece of technical gear costing over $3000 AUD, the durability and craftsmanship are worse than budget brands. The price-to-quality ratio is now officially a joke.Even worse than the product is the trash customer service. The staff are unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly, arrogant. Throughout this entire ordeal, there has been zero proactive communication. They have shown absolutely no empathy for the issues I’ve faced and have consistently avoided taking responsibility. Instead of offering solutions, they hide behind excuses and provide zero help.Paying a premium price should come with premium support, but the service here is an absolute joke. Save your money and stay away from this brand. They’ve lost their core values and clearly don't care about their customers anymore. A massive letdown and a total waste of money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Extremely disappointed with Arc'teryx…warranty repair gone wrong!

Extremely disappointed with Arc'teryx product quality and repair service.I sent in my GORE-TEX jacket for repair, and it was returned in worse condition than when I shipped it — it ripped immediately the first time I wore it. When I reached out for a second repair, the customer service rep, showed no understanding, no accountability, and simply said it “can’t be fixed.” Their resolution was dismissive and completely inadequate. For a premium, high-end brand that charges top dollar, this lack of ownership and careless handling of a faulty repair is shocking. I trusted their repair process, and they failed to honor the second time from their mistakes!#qualitycontrolgonewrong Fake Warranty!
