I can't recommend this brand. I purchased an Aviron rower in 2023. The actual equipment is decent enough, although I've submitted two warranty claims already, one for a broken seat and another for a flywheel issue. I had to install the replacement parts myself when they arrived by mail. The real headache is the software side of things. The connection drops constantly and the system freezes regularly, sometimes multiple times weekly. I have to shut the machine down and restart it to get anything working again. Sometimes this means losing the entire workout since it doesn't save your progress. Right now I'm running a full factory reset because the software update needs more storage space than the system has available. Looking back, I definitely would have gone with a different brand.

Great experience when everything is working smoothly. I've owned my Aviron rower for more than a year and love it during the good workouts, but yesterday I got 12 and a half minutes into a 17 minute session when the display completely froze. Unfortunately this isn't brand new to me, though it normally happens early on, within the first couple minutes. A couple minutes of downtime I can handle, but losing connection halfway through destroyed my focus. I kept going just to see if the system would catch up, and it did to some extent. Once things synced back up, my points were way off from what they should have been, totally messing up my final score. Over the holidays last year, I went to a ski resort with the same rower setup, and when I tried signing into my paid account, I couldn't access my purchased games and workouts. Part of my excitement about choosing Aviron was the idea that I could use my account at other locations with their machines, but apparently that's not how it works. This limitation really should be made clear before people buy their equipment. The Strong Rower is genuinely excellent and entertaining when it's functioning properly, but the connectivity problems keep getting in the way.

Terrible customer service. The machine keeps disconnecting from WiFi even though my internet is strong and everything else connects fine. If you want to upgrade the handle with a button feature, you have to disassemble it yourself, which is annoying.

The $3000 treadmill arrives without any games built in. Want those? That'll cost you an extra $348 every year, charged upfront rather than monthly, which breaks down to about $29 each month. Zero trial period, zero free sample, nothing. Basically you get a regular treadmill with no special features. I think streaming any shows also requires the same membership. So you're paying premium price for a machine that does nothing different without paying extra. Not a single trial or demo available to see what you'd actually be getting before spending your money. The teaser videos show some game clips but it's really unclear what's included. I emailed support about this and they actually gave me a complimentary month. But when playing the games, the display keeps going black randomly and then coming back on. It's startling because suddenly I'm staring at my own face in the dark screen wondering why it's broken. I called support again about this and they blamed my internet connection. I created a separate WiFi network, tested different channels, tried to troubleshoot why a machine 15 feet from the router couldn't stay connected. While walking through their international video paths, the picture would blur then flash black repeatedly. They made me do a factory reset and never actually solved it.

This used to be solid equipment, but then they introduced an animation of a porthole with water swishing through most of the workout programs, and it literally makes me seasick. I tried reaching out to customer support and they basically told me to tape over the screen, skip 80% of the available workouts, or get rid of it. Before that update it was perfect, and now I'm stuck with this expensive boat anchor I can't actually use. I feel cheated over such a stupid modification.

Good machine when it actually cooperates. I went with the premium version and keep running into frozen workouts. The system refuses to update properly. I know streaming works fine because my other subscriptions run smoothly, so the issue is definitely with their platform and the software they created.

Sure, it costs a bit more than some competitors, but the extra features totally justify the investment. The support team replied quickly to my questions and treated me with respect and professionalism. This has turned into a really positive purchase overall.
