Grabbed a Mini S from Newegg on sale but it came with pretty basic specs - N95 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage. Even after I bumped the RAM to 16GB, Windows 11 Pro just couldn't run smoothly on it. Being single channel memory, the speed wasn't great anyway. Linux was better but I needed Windows apps. Since upgrading to the latest Windows version I'm getting random restarts and system errors. Really disappointed with this one. The system itself seems decent performance-wise, but activating both 10Gbe network ports causes serious problems - network drops and full system crashes are constant. Through my own testing I got stuttering, freezing, and reboots on demanding applications. I'm pretty sure this is a motherboard hardware issue with poor layout, power delivery, or PCIe configuration that no software update will fix. To keep the machine stable I had to turn off the dual 10GBE ports in BIOS, which defeats the whole purpose since those ports alone are expensive. Right now I'm stuck deciding if I should send it back for a refund or just accept the loss. On top of everything, their support team keeps dragging things out, seemingly waiting for my return window to close rather than acknowledging the fundamental problem.
Stay away from their newest releases - you'll basically be a test subject. I bought a Beelink AMD model five years ago with modest specs and it worked perfectly fine. Support walked me through driver updates and BIOS resets but nothing changed. Their own forums are full of SER-series owners reporting the same thing - the WiFi antennas inside are poorly positioned and can't pick up signals properly. It's a design flaw that's been there from day one. When I pointed this out, support said the warranty was expired and suggested I buy a cheap USB adapter online or pay to ship it to China for repairs. A warranty should cover factory defects, not just normal wear. They should be recalling these units or offering repairs. Bottom line: if you count on your PC for work, spend more with a company that actually stands behind their engineering and provides real support. Beelink doesn't deliver on that.
