What Shoppers Say About Boka
Boka is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 20 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews citing serious problems. The most frequent complaints center on unresponsive customer service, difficulty canceling subscriptions, and refusal to disclose product ingredient percentages (particularly nano-hydroxyapatite content in their toothpaste). Shoppers report being blocked from customer service interactions, receiving unwanted subscription shipments they cannot cancel, and receiving vague corporate responses to direct ingredient questions. Some reviewers also note dental or health issues after using the products.
A small number of satisfied customers report positive experiences with product quality and note that customer service replaced damaged items without issue. These reviewers appreciate the fluoride-free and SLS-free formulation. However, positive feedback is significantly outweighed by complaints about transparency, subscription management, and accessibility of customer support.

Sorted by: Most recentGot an email saying my subscription order was being prepared. I immediately asked them to stop the recurring charges. Nope - they went ahead and charged my card anyway. I disputed it with my bank saying I'd canceled. Boka claimed they'd already shipped it and I'd gotten it. That wasn't even true at the time. When I checked the tracking, the package didn't ship until over two weeks after I canceled. Real companies let you cancel at least a few days before charging. This place is bad news and not worth dealing with.
Terrible customer service. I've been a customer for a couple years but just can't anymore. They shipped my subscription without any warning to the wrong address. When I called about it, they said they couldn't cancel even though it hadn't been shipped yet and suggested changing the address instead. A month later the address still wasn't updated, the package never arrived, and customer service had no clue what I was talking about. The product itself is okay, but their handling of this left me completely frustrated. Won't be ordering again.
Been using the mint flavor for over four years now and really enjoy it. Delivery can be slower than expected sometimes.
The concept behind this toothpaste is good - fluoride-free with nano-hydroxyapatite. My first order took forever though and I had to chase them down about the status. They made it right by sending another order free of charge and that one arrived quickly. The coco ginger is pretty gross tasting. Lemon lavender is decent. The mint flavor is solid. My little one actually likes the kids orange one. They did fix the shipping problem when I complained. They've got a new watermelon mint flavor I might check out eventually.
Their customer service is absolutely awful and they truly don't seem to care about complaints! Steer clear of the coco ginger - tastes exactly like bad Thai curry and leaves your mouth feeling filthy. Genuinely terrible. The mint works fine though. Way overpriced for the quality. Look at competitors like other nano hydroxyapatite options - they're superior. This outfit just ignores problems and acts like they're doing you a favor. They're losing customers and their cocky attitude won't last long. This is not how you treat people.
Worst customer service around and they don't care one bit! Skip the coco ginger flavor - it seriously tastes like bad Thai food and doesn't even make your mouth feel clean even with extra brushing. Garbage product. The mint's fine though. Way too expensive for what you get. Check out other nano hydroxyapatite brands like the alternatives out there - they're much better. This company just won't help resolve problems and they're going to lose people fast with this attitude. It's not right how they treat customers.
Waited three months for my order while they kept saying items weren't in stock. Finally changed what I ordered and got it, but who knows how much longer I would've waited if I hadn't spoken up. Also the mint flavor does something weird to my mouth - tastes like I burned my tongue for days afterward. Not happy.
This company is dangerous. Their floss caused serious damage to my gum tissue and I've been dealing with ongoing problems. They systematically take down negative comments on their social media pages and review sites. Can't trust them. Be careful with your oral health.
Bought a toothpaste for $15 on March 6th and was told it wouldn't ship until end of month. Got a tracking number March 28th but still no delivery by April 10th. When I reached out to support, the rep didn't even read my message and just pasted some generic garbage. Tried again explaining the actual problem and they said they'd send a replacement. Then another rep said they couldn't do that until May. This is ridiculous. You're charging $15 for a $3 tube - the least you could do is get decent service and deliver it within a reasonable timeframe. Totally unprofessional operation.
Excited about this company at first, and I do like the toothpaste, but can't support them anymore. Posted a review about their electric toothbrush leaving my front tooth badly stained black. Sent them an email too. They hid my review from their website and gave me a partial refund instead of addressing it. Switched to a regular white toothbrush and the staining went away in a few weeks. This company filters out negative reviews - I know because I work in review management and we'd never do this. They're not trustworthy. Want my full money back at this point.
