Ordered the FLATenna 35 for Ten Bucks and It Really Works I grabbed the FLATenna 35 for just ten dollars and honestly, it's fantastic. I can say this with total confidence because I wasn't picking up all the OTA channels I should have been getting before. Once I put this antenna up, the number of channels I could access jumped significantly. Is it flawless? Not really, but in my opinion it comes pretty darn close! Give it a shot and see if you become a believer too.
Stream+ Won't Work Right for Rural Over the Air TV Buyers I've been buying from Channel Master for decades and have always recommended their stuff to everyone. When it comes to OTA television products and accessories, they've been my go-to brand the whole time. Their antennas, rotors, amps, tuners, and DVR equipment have never let me down in 40 years, and I've never had problems with their customer support either. This complaint is specifically about one product - the Stream+ DVR. I'm confused why they're marketing this as a cord-cutting OTA DVR when most of the features you want won't even function without an internet connection. Plus, when you do have constant internet access, the Google Guide software only pulls program data for a single market. If you live in a rural area like me and use a rotor to pick up shows from multiple markets, you're completely out of luck. The issues stem from Google Guide and the outdated Android operating system running on it. Channel Master acknowledges these problems exist but refuses to own them. When you have trouble, they tell you to take it up with Google. Apparently Google couldn't care less about a product designed for their streaming platform. I purchased the Stream+ back in November as a gift for my elderly mother and sister and have regretted it ever since.
