What Shoppers Say About Del Taco Restaurants
Del Taco Restaurants receives mixed reviews with significant quality concerns. Shoppers who had positive experiences praise specific menu items like enchiladas, but these favorable mentions are vastly outnumbered by complaints. The recurring issues include soggy or poorly assembled food items, cold orders, flavorless tacos, and unsatisfactory ingredient quality. Several reviewers reported gastrointestinal issues after dining, and multiple complaints cite unclean facilities and rude staff behavior. The consistent pattern of food quality problems and service failures suggests systematic operational challenges across locations.
While a small percentage of shoppers indicate they would order again, particularly for certain dishes, the majority of feedback reflects disappointment with both the dining experience and the restaurant's apparent decline from past quality standards. New location openings have not improved the issues, with reviewers noting rushed preparation and poor assembly even at recently opened restaurants. The low overall rating reflects a customer base that feels the value proposition does not justify the experience.

Sorted by: Most recentI'm really concerned about what I witnessed at the Del Taco location on West La Cadena in Riverside. I saw a manager wearing a blue shirt dismiss complaints from a Black employee about discrimination. She claimed she would help, but once he started to walk away, she made racist remarks toward him. This manager's conduct was completely unacceptable and disrespectful. The rest of the staff seems professional and welcoming, but this one manager's behavior is seriously problematic. She should be removed from her position immediately. The restaurant needs to address this discriminatory behavior if they want to be a welcoming place for everyone.
I placed a delivery order but never got my burger. When I called Del Taco, they told me I had to come pick it up at the restaurant myself. That doesn't make sense when I specifically ordered delivery because I wasn't able to go in person.
When I was visiting Melbourne in Florida, I decided to grab a meal here. The food was delicious and the service was really quick. I had a great experience!
This was my very first visit to this Del Taco location and I was impressed. The food came out quickly and the staff moved with purpose. I was hungry and they definitely delivered.
If you're staying in the desert area, you've got to check out the Del Taco on Sunrise in Palm Springs. We switched from using a third-party delivery app to ordering scheduled deliveries right through their app and haven't looked back. Sure, the app doesn't have their complete menu, but honestly it doesn't matter because they've got those grilled shrimp tacos that are absolutely incredible. What's really cool is that whenever we order through the app, they throw in a free random taco or bump up our drink sizes as a little bonus. Their shakes are fantastic if you're into dairy products, and the fries are seriously excellent. I'd love to see them add something like an Agua Fresca to their menu someday, plus maybe a bigger burrito loaded with beans and extra cheese.
The fries are definitely the standout item here. Everything else is pretty mediocre, honestly. The food isn't terrible, but it's not great either. I can't figure out why some people choose this place over Taco Bell, but if you want some solid fries and potato tacos, those are worth getting.
When they actually prepare the food right, it tastes good. The bigger issue is that this company just doesn't seem to care about whether customers are satisfied with their experience.
I actually do enjoy their food, but going to the Roseville location feels like a chore because of how slow they are. You're looking at a 20 to 25 minute wait as the standard. Their staff really needs to work on assembling orders faster. Any other fast food spot I visit gets me through in way less time, so I'm not sure what the problem is at this particular location. I've literally had time to shop at a nearby store while waiting for my son's order to come through the drive-thru.
