What Shoppers Say About Doodle
Doodle receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 22 reviews averaging 1.4 out of 5. The vast majority of shoppers report significant technical and usability problems: the free version is heavily laden with ads that prevent proper functionality, the interface has confusing features (such as automatically selecting poll dates without user consent), and the site frequently encounters errors with unhelpful error messages. One common frustration involves a major product overhaul years ago that removed features users relied on, such as text-based polls and flexible calendar options. Several reviewers describe wasted time trying to use the basic scheduling features.
The rare positive feedback centers on Doodle's customer support team. Shoppers who contacted support reported fast response times, friendly communication, and hassle-free refunds. This bright spot suggests the company has responsive staff, though it does little to offset the widespread complaints about the core product's functionality and performance.

Sorted by: Most recentThis company has to be among the worst I've dealt with, and they make no apologies for it. I couldn't get anything done and nobody stepped in to help. First, when I tried their service, it kept bouncing me between pages and nagging me to connect my Google Calendar, which I didn't want to do, so I got nowhere. Second, their support team said they'd assist but only sent me to a generic FAQ with nothing useful. Third, I went to Twitter where they demonstrated even less understanding, apparently missing my point even after I said it multiple times. They eventually mentioned Google Calendar issues, but somehow didn't connect it to what I'd said. Bottom line, total incompetence all around.
Some advertising to support operations is reasonable and this service used to deliver quality. These days half the screen is just ads. They're squandering the reputation they built up over the years.
This was decent at one point, but it's turned into glitchy junk now. It barely functions for most tasks. Say you need to find a meeting time in the next few weeks - it only displays 5 options at a time. Plus there's a bug on my computer where the last item won't open properly. On my large monitor, I'm stuck looking at this tiny window that fits only 4 names. To see everyone's choices you have to click "edit your response" which doesn't make any logical sense.
Just tried the newest version of Doodle after using it regularly for years and I'm shocked. It used to be streamlined and intuitive, plus I could make changes and delete items easily. Now setting it up is awkward, and even worse, you can't edit anything like names or remove entries. Whether this is locked behind their paid plan or what, I don't know, but it's a huge step backwards from the excellent tool it was. Going to look elsewhere from here on.
I really enjoyed using this app in the past, but the recent changes have made it frustrating and tedious. The new layout is clunky and takes forever to navigate. When I enter available times, the system shows them shifted by an hour, which means the poll displays wrong information. Clicking on the calendar to set meeting dates has become nearly impossible, so I ended up just emailing a list of times instead. The old version was quick and smooth, perfect for both work and personal scheduling. I'm looking for something better now.
I've relied on this for years to plan basic meetings and get-togethers. The iPhone app has gotten so bad I'm shocked. Really disappointed.
Used to be solid, now it's terrible. The redesigned interface is absolutely horrible. You're basically staring at a tiny window surrounded by empty space and advertisements on all sides. Important features are gone, and the ones that remain are shoved in your face whether you want them or not.
On a phone, you can't even see what the date options are. The new interface is terrible and genuinely can't be used on mobile.
This is nuts! Who did they talk to before rolling out these so-called upgrades? It's broken, annoying and confusing. We've stopped using it and moved to something else. Sending an email is honestly faster now.
