My old Dyson died so I purchased a new V8 Model. Waited over 7 days to receive it, and when it arrived I plugged it in and NOTHING happened. Spoke with customer service rep who was VERY unsympathetic and once she ran a diagnostic she said it was a manufacturing problem and offered to send me another battery which would take two weeks to arrive!! At this point i don't trust the vac I got, as it should have been tested before it goes out. I am returning and NEVER buying from Dyson. When and how did this company get so bad???

Worst experience ever. Not only I never received my package, but I also have to deal with this company not returning my money. Don't buy anything here.

God this company is AWFUL!! My Dyson v8 was faulty for months and the parts were on back order bc this was a KNOWN issue. Finally Dyson agreed to a replacement. It cost me $10 to box the return and send it back, then weeks to get the new one which came today. DIRTY AND BENT! They replaced it with a USED MACHINE! I’ve been on hold for 20 mins waiting for a supervisor. The WORST experience ever!

I spent 500.00 on my Dyson. Suction is great. Have owned for less than a year and after charging all night it only runs for 15 min before it needs a recharge. Also no light on bottom so can not detect dirt as well as my lower cost competitor Very disappointed in this high end vacuum

My $450 Dyson hairdryer lasted for four years. It’s non-repairable as the part would be $300. I would never buy one again!

1. Sends a broken product2. Sends a wrong instruction for ups return. They said i can just scan at the ups location if i dont have the printer at home, but it was not the case.3. No apologies or anythingI will not buy from dyson again

Hi Dyson, we bought your Dyson ball - animal 3 extra last year. I love the vacuum cleaner, the tank is easy to remove and I love the way the wheels turn easily. However, I hate the way the hose is constructed! Grr~ It seems like it’s built backwards. It’s very awkward to use. Seems like the testing out of that function did not happen.

They can't keep replacement parts in stock. My battery pack needs to be replaced since 12/29/25 and as of today 1/15/26 they still don't have it. The same thing happened when I needed a filter replacement. They didn't have it in stock.If I didn't have one already I would buy a different vacuum.

I bought The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy back in 2015, because we had 4 pets who shed an enormous amount of hair. My wife has extremely long red hair, that also sheds a lot. Combined with a mix of hardwood and carpeted floors in the house, and our allergies, I needed something powerful, and with a HEPA filter, that wouldn't clog. I researched a lot of vacuums from Kirby, Dyson, and other big name brands back then. I eventually bit the bullet, and bought this vacuum, and it's been by far the best one I've ever owned. I've now had it for 10 years, and it's just as good now as the day I bought it. Yes, like any appliance, you have to take care of them, and clean them once in a while. If you do, the vacuum will continue to perform like new. I've never once had to replace a part on this machine. I'm amazed even today, at how much dirt and dust it captures. Far more than any other vacuum I've seen or used, from deep in the carpet, easy maneuverability, and versatility of the attachments. I clean everything with this vacuum. I love that I can dump out the canister, without having to get my hands dirty, and go right back to cleaning, in a matter of a few seconds. It NEVER loses its immense suction power (unless of course, I accidentally sucked something large up to clog the hose, which is extremely rare). I can't give this vacuum enough praise. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth every penny? Absolutely. It's worth it's weight in gold.I don't understand all of the negative reviews. Granted, I've never had to deal with their customer service side, which is probably a call center somewhere, hired out as a 3rd party, as most companies do these days. I understand sometimes things happen, or break. Quality Control misses things all the time. Some people expect a machine to do certian things, based on price or perception, that maybe just aren't realistic. Some people find the tiniest things to complain about. Sometimes it's a competency issue. There can be any number of things that cause someone to instantly be negative at something, even though it wasn't necessary the fault of the device or manufacturer. That's just the truth of things. Nothings perfect. Look past the negative, and find the positive. If you can't figure something out, maybe ask someone else, who might be able to help, or repair something that may turn out to be a simple fix. Not trying to put anyone down, or point fingers, but I find a good majority of negative reviews, are usually a perception of an issue, or lack thereof, or user error. However, I would and have recommended this vacuum to many, many people in that 10 years, and will continue to do so.
