Avoid Europcar in Sarajevo/MostarI strongly advise against renting from Europcar in Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia. I paid for a specific car but was given a different one, charged twice, and never received a proper receipt. Attempts to dispute the charges failed. This company is unreliable—go with Sixt or Enterprise instead. I even had to cancel my credit card because of their poor service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY This company I have used 2 (twice) forgot the first time they overcharged me. 2nd timeI went to return the car the shack at Shannon Airport was closed (Waited for 30min) and it was raining so I had to go to the Main Airport. I had to park the car in short term parking. The staff person WHO WAS VERY RUDE.... Told me to go back to the other shop and I said no way. They actually charged me for dirty car/short term parking/not refueling my car. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

SCAMMERS , RUDE ,ARROGANT , LIARS ,TRYING TO DISPUTE DAMAGE TO A TYRE ON MY SONS COURTESY CAR ,AND RAISE A COMPLAINT ON A 300 POUND CHARGE . WE HAVE ASKED REPEATEDLY FOR PHOTO EVIDENCE OF THE CAR ON DROP OFF , ONLY TO BE FOBBED OFF , AND DISCONNECTED BY FOREIGN CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISORS WHEN TRYING TO GET THROUGH .AVOID AT ALL COSTS .

Surprised to see so many negative reviews, I guess we were lucky!Booked a Citroen C4 for 2 weeks from Malta airport and everything went very well. Car wasn't in the best condition and the dimly lit car park wasn't good for spotting scuffs and scrapes but we managed and staff advised us to download a specific app for directions as Google apparently doesn't work well on the island. Had a great holiday and dropped car off where we discovered a large scrape down the side of the car which must have happened on our last night but as we'd left in the dark we hadn't spotted it. Charged us 300 euros but as we had taken full insurance it was refunded within a couple of days with no questions asked.

I'm furious! What scam. Reservation was made months in advance and was charged on my credit card at that time. They uphold us at time of arrival. They started a new invoice, not giving credit for the $3,000 they already charged me. Flight was at 6:00 so drop off was before they were open. They didn't and won't return that $3,000. Opened a case twice and they will not resolve and keep closing the case. I will never use them again.

I really wish I’d checked reviews before booking. This company is a complete joke.There are multiple accounts on here reporting the same issues, and the rating speaks for itself (1.7 stars or lower). I made an online account, uploaded photos of my ID, and still brought my passport and credit cards in person — only to be told at the desk that there was “a problem with my address”.This completely messed up my move on the morning of collection, with zero attempt to resolve it on the spot. To make matters worse, I was then told it would take up to two weeks to get my money back.Afterwards, I was sent the following refund policy:If your booking was prepaid, please allow 3–14 days for processing. In some cases, it may take up to 28 days. “Europcar Light Package” bookings are non-refundable.So not only was the service a failure, but I’m now left out of pocket for something that was cancelled due to their process, not mine.Poor communication, poor customer service, and a complete lack of consideration for the customer. Avoid if you value your time or money.

Zero customer service once your rental has started. Impossible to get through to someone who can help. So far trying for two days just to get the password to unlock entertainment system in the car.On another site they replied to my comment asking me to contact them via online link. That link does not allow to say what I need which is a password for the in car entertainment system. I will never recommend them to anyone I know.

Terrible experience. NEVER EVER book a car with them. They claimed they didn't have the car that I reserved with days of anticipation. We couldn't cancel the booking and for the car that I booked in advance they end up charging us 31 euros more a day! They treat us like idiots and no solution was given. They say they don't work well with 3rd parties that was the excuse. I booked through booking.com There was nobody that can help and any of both companies booking.com and europcar. This was at Spain Airport Adolfo Suarez. Jon at the counter and the manager were absolutely no help and again treat us like IDIOTS. Nothing that we could have done it was either pay the 31 more a day or loose our money 254 euros that were charged prior when we booked the car. Horrible Horrible experience. Do not book with this company. Go to the airport there are several other companies that you can use and all of them with available cars at better prices. NEVER AGAIN!

Disgraceful company. Avoid at all costs. Blaming me for damaging a hire car since September. Countless emails and phone calls without clear evidence after me refusing to accept blame! Now passed to a debt collector with still no evidence of me damaging the vehicle when they left the vehicle unsigned for and refused to collect it when I was present! Seeking legal advice.
