What Shoppers Say About eyebobs
Eyebobs receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 1.4 out of 5 by 11 reviewers. The most common complaints involve serious quality control issues, including lenses popping out of frames, arms snapping, frames stretching out of shape, and lens delamination after relatively short periods of use. Shoppers report that the company does not honor warranty claims for defects, instead attempting to sell expensive replacements or repairs (ranging from $100 to $300 for lenses alone). Additionally, multiple reviewers describe aggressive and persistent marketing practices, with unwanted text messages and emails continuing even after requesting to be removed from mailing lists, and some describe the contact attempts as harassment across multiple phone numbers.
The few positive aspects mentioned are limited to aesthetic appeal, with one reviewer noting the frames look amazing despite quality concerns. However, this visual appeal does not compensate for the durability and customer service issues reported. Shoppers consistently feel the price point does not match the build quality, and the lack of warranty support leaves customers bearing the cost of repairs or replacements for what appear to be manufacturing defects.

Sorted by: Most recentI'd honestly give them zero stars if I could. My progressive readers kept having a lens pop out. When I called, their first move was trying to sell me a replacement lens for $100. Then they said I wasn't covered by warranty. I took them to an optical shop where they told me it was a frame defect that couldn't be fixed, but they'd try to repair it anyway. EyeBobs refused to replace them. The glasses cost too much and the quality is subpar. Their business practices feel dishonest, and their customer service is awful.
Terrible quality in how these are put together. I wore both pairs for just a couple months and they stretched out of shape. One arm just snapped without any reason. Sending them both back because it's clear this company has some serious quality control issues.
If you sign up with this company, their text and email marketing won't stop. I've asked them to take me off their list and contacted customer service multiple times, but the messages keep coming three times a week.
Really frustrated with eyebobs overall. I've ordered from them multiple times, and my most recent pair developed speckles on the lenses after two years. Took them in to find out the surface was delaminating and couldn't be fixed. They wanted $300 to replace just the lenses. I went ahead and paid it, but that was a mistake on my part. Won't be shopping there again. The frames themselves are nice, but the way they handle quality issues and stand behind their products is unacceptable.
Getting constant harassment through text messages. I've been replying with "Stop" repeatedly, but they just switch to new numbers and keep texting. This feels like a scam operation.
The frames look amazing, but the quality just isn't there for the price point. Really let down by how poorly they're made. Plus, the company won't back up what they sell. Spent $100 and feel completely ripped off.
The customer service here is surprisingly rude and unhelpful. When there are so many other places online offering the exact same thing, it makes zero sense to pick a company where the team clearly doesn't want to help.
Their website pricing for customers outside the US is misleading because duties and taxes aren't included upfront. Shipping costs for returns can get really expensive, and there's no way to recover those duties and taxes. None of this is clearly communicated by eyebobs. On top of that, customer service is lacking. They should really take some notes from companies that actually know how to treat customers right. Not happy with my experience.
Not worth paying $90 for these. All three pairs I've bought failed at the same spot after exactly 18 months. The metal hinge breaks apart completely and the arm just falls off. This is clearly a quality control problem. Their warranty only covers 12 months, which doesn't cut it for the price. I have drugstore readers that cost $10 and have held up better. Not ordering from them again.
This company is a total joke. I ordered reading glasses for close-up vision and got distance vision lenses instead. Okay, mistakes happen, I get it. I sent them back after talking to customer service. Two weeks later, the replacement arrives and I try them on... distance vision again. Did they just send the exact same pair? Called them twice, sent a written message in plain, simple language that anyone could understand. Today the glasses show up and I open the package expecting success... nope, distance vision again. I'm done with EyeBobs. This is embarrassing. Seriously, do not order from them. Period.
