They put this hot cash on there and then you go to check out and it won't let you use it and declines your card and then they take it away when you try again saying you already used it

Would have left a 1 star, but 2 months later I got my purchase refunded. I REALLY wanted my order. It was pre-ordered and they never notified me that they hadn't delivered. Tracking said UPS awaiting from carrier (not picked up from supplier). I got a full refund, but they didn't even have the courtesy to reach out to me once. I reached out to them on 3 separate occasions. One to ask if my pre-order had shipped yet, 5 days later to get my first reply, and then on the 6th day to LET THEM KNOW that I had been refunded by paypal. That's when they said it was lost in transit when in reality it never left their facility. They had in actuality lost my order within their own facility. Now those very same items are sold out, and non-purchasable. I bought them in advance because some Sanrio items are hard to come by. Words cannot describe how upset I am with Hot Topic right now. I didn't even get an apology. Full credit is not equal to the credit card interest I lost while they held my money.

I am so tired of HT and I will never do business with them again and it is too bad seeing I've shopping with them for as long as they have been around. HT has this problem and I am over it. The problem is they put up pre orders and I buy on the first day. Then conveniently when the items are release I am being told they are sold out. How,? I preordered on day one how did I end up losing out? I make many preorders over the months and HT is the only company that fails when it comes to fulfilment. I do not think HT has any idea what preorder means and or cares. So If you are reading this HT cooperate people maybe have a round table and fix this ever annoying and should not be happening to your customers problem. As for me I am done. Between this and the fact they do not ship to store what I usually buy makes it so easy to do. Nevermind the ridiculous reason for not shipping these items to the store. It makes no sense and I can not in my right mind continue buying from this out of date company with horrible preorder practices. They lost a lot of money from me last year and will get none this year. And when I get my preorder that is going to be missing two of the most important items, I will be returning it to the store ASAP so I get my money back. Bye Bye HT, good luck and good riddance.

They claim you get free shipping on orders over $75 and after putting enough in my cart I realised this offer is ONLY for US customers once I reached the checkout and was about to pay when a huge shipping fee was added, there is NOTHING as of writing on their website to indicate otherwise.I did end up buying the items but I will not be shopping here again until shipping for customers outside the US is made fairer.

Ordered 12 times in total trying to get some things. Order gets cancelled automatically and they charge you for the order which means you need to wait for a refund back... Tried removing items and trying again and again and again with different items but they get cancelled automatically, I dealt with it being cancelled, cancelled, cancelled! If items are not in stock then set a limit so people aren't left with cancelled orders and with their money taken! I'm currently waiting for $600 refund to come back into my account to which I hope it does or I'll be going to my bank. I live in the UK, tried having it shipped to my boyfriends. He tried with his card, I tried with mine. Nothing! Honestly can put you in a down mood. Please get this fixed!

On the 21st of October I made an order with Hot Topic online to be delivered to Australia. It was around 60 dollars, and stupidly I didn't realise until I was charged $180 dollars that this was without being converted to AUD. Within TEN MINUTES I messaged them to cancel the order, and an employee told me I needed to wait a few days for the order to appear in their system.I message them again a day and a half later and they tell me it's too late now and the order has already been packaged - not shipped, not in transit, it hasn't even left the building yet, but they very stubbornly insist they can't do anything about it and I'll have to wait until it's delivered to return it.So I do. I return it once it's delivered, paying another 40aud for shipping because of course they don't reimburse that either. I pick the cheapest option as getting a tracking number is an extra $15 dollars and ive already spent enough money at this point, and forget about it.One month later I havent got my refund, so I email them just now and they tell me they can't issue a refund without a tracking number. So I spent around $230 AUD and I have NOTHING to show for it, not even the original thing I bought. I am FUMING. Horrible customer service, employees unwilling to budge or provide any help, and half the time I was getting automated responses from their useless AI. Don't even bother.
