Had an awesome experience with Anouk at the store in the mall in Syracuse. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel really welcome.

Ordered something around 10 in the evening and tried to cancel it just a few minutes later, but couldn't figure out how. Called customer service the next morning at 7 and the rep basically blew me off. The service was really disappointing. Should've checked reviews before placing my order in the first place.

Got a clearance jacket for 53.94 and a hoodie for 16.20. The site showed free shipping over 75 dollars, so I thought I was good. Turns out the order got shipped from Toronto and they hit me with 31 bucks in international shipping charges on top of everything else, claiming the 75 dollar minimum doesn't apply to Canada. My final bill ended up being 148.28 when I expected to pay 75. I had to use the American website but it ships from an American warehouse since there's no Canadian one, which seems like a total setup. When I called, they basically gave me the runaround and said I could return it but I'd lose the 30 bucks in shipping costs myself. Really felt like I was scammed on this purchase.

My bank sent me a notice that my email showed up on the Dark Web connected to this company.

The store had big signs advertising a buy one, get one 50 percent off sale on everything, but when I went to check out, the cashier said it only applied to certain items that were marked on a tiny sign that was barely visible. That's seriously misleading advertising and my whole family is frustrated about it. We won't be coming back to the location in Delaware.

Don't order from Hot Topic's website if you want to return anything! They won't accept returns or exchanges on sale or clearance items. I grabbed 3 Olivia Rodrigo tees for my 11-year-old as a Christmas gift and they were way too big. Can't believe I'm stuck with them since I can't even swap them for the right size. I'm done shopping here. Plus their chat support was useless, just kept sending me in circles. Whether it was a bot or a person, it was terrible either way.

When I tried to return something in store during the holidays just days after the return window closed, two managers were super rude and actually yelled at me. Zero help whatsoever. Then on another purchase, I noticed at home that one item was dirty and another didn't have a size tag, plus a skirt I got was way too big. When I tried to return those, they refused again. I spent a whole year going back and forth through email with them and got nowhere. Every single time I had to retell the entire situation from scratch. If you actually cared about customers, you'd keep track of complaints like any decent business would. These refusals caused me so much stress and disappointment. Please give me my money back for these items.

This was honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Feels like the company is run by people who have no idea what they're doing. My second order got canceled even though they said they had the items in stock. I paid for the orders and then they just canceled them anyway.

Skye at the Guilford location is fantastic. She knows her stuff inside and out and takes the time to answer questions thoroughly. She's always smiling and genuinely fun to talk to. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Jenae at the store in Chesterfield, Virginia absolutely crushed it. She's always so welcoming and friendly to every customer walking in, and she really goes the extra mile to help you find what you're looking for. She even held some items at the counter while we kept shopping and mentioned that she remembered us from before. She also asked if we wanted to use our rewards points on this purchase. My granddaughter is a huge fan of the store and isn't just trying to follow trends, she genuinely loves the styles. Jenae does a great job encouraging us to earn coupons for special events and sometimes even calls to remind us about upcoming deals. Huge props to Jenae for being so helpful and friendly.
