Used to be a fan of La Colombe Corsica, but something's changed. Picked up a bag of whole beans recently and have been disappointed. I grind fresh every morning, and no matter what grind setting I use, the coffee just doesn't deliver. It comes across as stale, like those bins of coffee sitting out at the supermarket for who knows how long. Hard to justify spending $17.50 a pound on coffee that's just okay. The company got acquired by a bigger national corporation back in 2023, and I'm wondering if that's why the quality has taken a nosedive. My guess is they've relaxed their quality standards, but that's just speculation on my part.

Been buying from La Colombe for several years now and switched to their online ordering when the pandemic hit.
