What Shoppers Say About Lladró
Lladró receives polarized feedback from shoppers. On the positive side, customers praise the excellent craftsmanship of the porcelain figurines and note that the pieces hold up well over time, making them popular choices for recurring gift purchases. However, significant issues emerge around damage claims and shipping practices. Multiple reviewers report frustration with the company's strict 24-hour damage reporting window, which some feel is unreasonably short for gifts that may not be opened immediately. Additionally, shoppers have encountered problems with international shipping, including unexpected import charges being passed to recipients and unresponsive customer service when attempting to resolve these billing disputes.
The limited review volume and wide rating spread suggest that Lladró's customer experience is highly inconsistent. While the product quality itself appears sound, issues with post-purchase support, damage claim policies, and shipping transparency are creating negative experiences for a substantial portion of buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentOrdered a decorative porcelain light as a gift for my daughter's 21st birthday. The item arrived with the top section damaged. Since the gift hadn't been opened until after her birthday, it fell outside the 24-hour damage reporting window, so Lladro said the warranty didn't apply. I was willing to pay out of pocket for repairs, but they quoted a price that was basically the same as buying a brand new light, which seems completely unreasonable to me. The company is happy to replace broken pieces at a cost for other items, so this pricing makes no sense. On top of that, the light switch didn't work from day one due to a manufacturing defect. They had cheaped out on the LED bulb, which looks dull and feels like it costs about a dollar. This product wasn't worth what I paid for it. The whole experience felt like the company only cares about making money, and honestly, treating a piece like Goddess Lakshmi this way feels wrong given what she represents.
My wife is thrilled with the figurines I pick out for her Christmas gifts every year. The craftsmanship is excellent and they hold up really well.
I bought a gift for my mother through Amazon marketplace with advertised free shipping through DHL. Now my elderly mother is being pestered by DHL demanding she pay 35 pounds in import charges and threatening to send it to a collection agency. I've reached out to Lladro multiple times and they keep saying they're handling it with DHL and that this is their responsibility, but nothing has actually been done. I'm really disappointed by how they've completely dropped the ball on this when they themselves acknowledged it's their problem to fix.
