Ordered a decorative porcelain light as a gift for my daughter's 21st birthday. The item arrived with the top section damaged. Since the gift hadn't been opened until after her birthday, it fell outside the 24-hour damage reporting window, so Lladro said the warranty didn't apply. I was willing to pay out of pocket for repairs, but they quoted a price that was basically the same as buying a brand new light, which seems completely unreasonable to me. The company is happy to replace broken pieces at a cost for other items, so this pricing makes no sense. On top of that, the light switch didn't work from day one due to a manufacturing defect. They had cheaped out on the LED bulb, which looks dull and feels like it costs about a dollar. This product wasn't worth what I paid for it. The whole experience felt like the company only cares about making money, and honestly, treating a piece like Goddess Lakshmi this way feels wrong given what she represents.

I bought a gift for my mother through Amazon marketplace with advertised free shipping through DHL. Now my elderly mother is being pestered by DHL demanding she pay 35 pounds in import charges and threatening to send it to a collection agency.
