Soon after I paid a bill for furniture, and the check cleared, they cancelled the order. I spent 6 months trying to get a refund. They gave me utter nonsense and said they "would look into it". Finally, after 6 months, they gave me a partial refund. They could not explain why it was only a partial refund. Then they added the refund to my credit card bill, and have been adding interest and penalties and ruined my credit rating. AVOID MACYS AT ALL COSTS!

WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO. I DID A PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR A MACY'S CREDIT CARD. WITHIN SECONDS I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A LETTER N THE MAIL. MY CREDIT ID WAY PASS A 640.THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME MACY'S HAVE TURNED ME DOWN! IM GOOD! I HAVE CREDIT CARDS W/CITI BANK. THEY DIDNT HURT ME. I WAS CURIOUS AS TO C IF I WOULD B APPROVED. SMHI DONT NEED THEM. WHEN I RECEIVE THE LETTER, IM SENDING IT BACK TO THEM W/A VERY NASTY ATTITUDE. WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS B4- I APPLIED FOR THE MACY'S CREDIT CARD. IM STILL N THEIR SYSTEM AS REWARDS N I HAVE ORDERED OUT THE BUTT FROM MACY'S. IM GOING TO BOYCOTT THEM. WITH THEIR F. A!. PEJETTEE A.

Online orders with multiple items from Macy’s haven’t been reliable for me. This has happened twice: I placed one order with several items, received an email saying everything was delivered in a single package, but one or two items were missing. When I contacted customer support (in person and online), I was told the tracking shows “delivered,” so there was nothing they could do.In my experience, Macy’s does not take missing items seriously once a package is marked delivered, even when the order clearly wasn’t complete. I would not recommend ordering multiple items online from Macy’s unless you’re willing to risk having missing items with no resolution.

Horrible service … may have to take them to small claims court. Placed order online. Have made several orders in the past . Logged in with my normal account . Selected ship to “my store” . Got to the store to pick up and was told order was scheduled to be picked up in San Ramon CA . Almost 500 miles from my normal store . No problem , I have ID , copy of the card I paid with , email confirmation of the order , let’s fix it . Absolutely not they said .. even though they had the item in stock at my store , they would not under any circumstances fix the problem. Ok so on to the next solution, let’s cancel the order . Again absolutely not !! They said I would have to drive to San Ramon , pick up the order , then return it . ABSOLUTELY no cancellations after 10 minutes of order being placed . NEVER again will they get a nickel of my money . It’s no wonder they’re struggling and closing stores

Ordered an item online (on sale). Received an email the following day, saying the order was cancelled because it was "out of stock". Item still showed up online, but at a higher price. Called and was told that the item was NOT out of stock, there was just a pricing error and Macy's would NOT honor the price on their site. "Chanel" (customer service rep) didn't seem to really care at all about this customer's experience (and I'm a platinum cardholder), just saying that "their policy is on their website" and they have the "right to cancel any order". Thanks, Macy's, for the outstanding customer experience.

Macy's have turned scammersI went into the store at the galleria mall in Hoover Alabama to get a blazer worth $39. I brought out my card to pay for it but the lady asked if I had an account, I said I don't need an account. She insisted that I have to have an account to purchase the jacket and I'll be given a discount. I insisted that I do no need a discount. She will not take the payment until I open an account. This lady went ahead to open this God forsaken account and also a credit card for me with Citi bank. I got mails from citi bank like I always did and I thought it's was the usual mail asking me to get a credit card from them and so I tossed them. In 2 months these thieves Macy's have now ruined my credit telling me I owe $198 for the jacket. Say away from them. Their account manager was so rude over the phone. Their wears are not that unique. Get a store that will not scam you into getting a credit card. That was my first time at any Macy's store and I regret it. I will keep dropping these reviews till Im able to resolve this.
