Got a walnut stock for my Springfield M1A and it showed up quickly in perfect shape. The wood looks nice and the finish is solid. However, when I went to install it, there was a gap between the stock and the receiver that started at about 1/64 inch near the handguard and grew to roughly 1/8 inch by the time it got to the receiver. After digging into the problem, I figured out the metal liner inside the stock wasn't positioned right, which prevented the receiver from sitting properly. I had to undo the screws on the liner and use a rubber mallet with some careful tapping to get everything to seat correctly. I wish they'd run a quick test fit with an actual barrel assembly before shipping these out to catch issues like this. That said, I'm still happy with my purchase overall.
