What Shoppers Say About Lifetouch
Lifetouch has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 19 reviews averaging 1.3 out of 5. The most consistent complaints center on severe customer service failures, including unresponsive support staff, difficulty reaching anyone by phone, and months-long delays in order fulfillment. Shoppers report quality issues such as poor photo editing (including failure to remove unwanted subjects), terrible cropping that obscures paid-for details, unprofessional photography work, and orders arriving incomplete or improperly prepared. Several reviewers experienced lost or missing photos with no compensation offered, and some received wrong file formats than what was ordered.
A small minority of shoppers (roughly 5 percent) gave positive ratings, but the overwhelming majority expressed that prices do not justify the quality received and characterized their experiences as among the worst customer service they have encountered. Common pain points include aggressive marketing emails using children's names, difficulty contacting support through multiple channels, and perceived indifference from the company when problems occur.

Sorted by: Most recentThese people aren't real photographers. They don't understand basic positioning or how to frame a subject properly. A teenager with a phone could do better work. The images they took made my child appear so dark you couldn't even see her face. They clearly don't know how to photograph darker skin tones properly. You need good lighting, not heavy shadows. Why do schools keep choosing this company?
My daughter's graduation day class photo has dark makeup edited onto her face even though she never wears makeup and barely had any on for the event. Now it's heavily and badly edited. I've stopped buying school photos years ago because the quality is always terrible. There are so many errors in these graduation shots. One girl has fingers cut way too short and one eyebrow edited darker than the other. Another student has an oddly long chin that shouldn't be there. How did these pictures get approved? Even if replacements are reprinted and mailed out, this was the last day of school, the last day of grade 12 for these kids. They'll always remember receiving these ruined pictures.
If negative stars were an option, that's what I'd give them! I ordered my child's photos online using the order form her daycare provided. I selected the premium package and then the photos went missing during shipping. When I called, I found out their system had a glitch and somehow I'd accidentally ordered another kid's photos even though I'd picked the right child's images for customization. They refunded me so I reordered the same package and carefully selected my child's photos for the add-ons. This time they promised to rush it because of the initial error. Three weeks passed with no delivery. Those photos were lost in transit as well. I called Monday and spoke with a manager who set up an overnight shipping option. Still nothing arrived! Over a month has gone by and I've lost nearly two hundred dollars with no photos to show for it. To add to the confusion, eight photos of my child were taken originally but only four initially appeared online until after I'd already placed the first order.

Our school had them come in for class photos and the quality was really below expectations. Almost every single photo had students with closed eyes or standing awkwardly. You'd think with today's digital cameras the photographer would review each shot and get at least one decent image per class. Having just one class come out badly would be one thing, but this happened across the board. It's disappointing because these pictures are supposed to be cherished memories and they cost quite a bit of money.
Eight years of sports photos from this outfit and I've never gotten a single decent picture. Blurry shots? Absolutely. Name misspelled? Yep. I called about the last name mistake and they said they couldn't read my handwriting. My response was that I ordered online so everything was typed in, and I'm looking at my order right now with our name spelled correctly. Their football poses are awful. There's trash cans showing up in the backgrounds. My son's track photo made him look like an anime character with a black blob for hair and black eyes even though he's a blue eyed brunette. The final straw was graduation photos. The photographer positioned themselves below and off to the side of the stage, resulting in a blurry image showing mostly the graduate's chin and nostril area from below. It would've been better to not use a professional at all. My phone photo from the bleachers zoomed in was infinitely better. Group photos also have an issue where the photographer only captured one side of the group. The other half of the class is basically invisible because the photographer couldn't be bothered to move and shoot from another angle. You need to get your photographers better training or just close up shop completely. I'd be embarrassed to work for this company. At least you're not handling our yearbook or class photos.
This place should honestly shut down. They're running a total scam. I've been begging our daycare to find someone else. My order has been sitting there for six weeks with no updates. Just give me my money back already. I'm never ordering again and would get better results just snapping a photo on my phone and printing it at any drugstore. The quality is basically identical anyway.
Way too expensive for what you get, and they don't even separate the smaller prints. Everything comes on one sheet with this ugly white barcode printed at the bottom. The whole thing feels rushed and careless. There's no attention to detail whatsoever.
We really appreciated the photographer we had for our PreK graduation session. Zoe was fantastic and did an excellent job! We had some issues with our photos in the fall but this time around everything was perfect. She was super responsive, quick with turnarounds, and genuinely helpful and friendly.
