Nitecore Store Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Nitecore Store
Nitecore Store is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 17 shoppers, with a significant majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The recurring complaints center on product durability issues (failed zippers, defective batteries, cables that break within months) and deeply frustrating customer service experiences, including unresponsive support, warranty claims that are delayed or refused, lack of local repair support despite advertised coverage, and allegations of deleted negative reviews. A small minority of shoppers appear satisfied with the store, but they represent only about 18 percent of reviewers.
Shoppers describe Nitecore products as overpriced relative to their actual lifespan and reliability. Those seeking warranty claims or support report experiencing runarounds, long delays, or outright refusals to honor coverage. The company's practice of redirecting customers to third-party platforms (like AliExpress) with minimal compensation rather than handling resolution directly has frustrated military and outdoor enthusiasts who depend on dependable tactical equipment. Several reviewers indicate they will not purchase from Nitecore again despite past loyalty.

Sorted by: Most recentStill trying to get the glass replaced on my Concept 2 flashlight. I'm willing to pay for replacement gaskets and the front glass after it turned on and shattered from heat while sitting in my bag. Over the past month I've emailed three different addresses and each reply comes a week late, and only because I have to send follow-ups. I paid 185 pounds for this flashlight. Never buying from them again. Customer support is embarrassing. Update: Two months in and still waiting for the right parts. I asked for two things, glass and gaskets, but they forgot the gaskets. Now they're saying another eight weeks for delivery. Skip Nitecore entirely.
If the other reviews aren't enough to warn you away from nitecorestore.com, take my advice and stay clear. They sell flashlights with proprietary batteries. My R40, purchased for $149 about three years ago, needed a new battery, but it shows as discontinued on their site. When I asked customer service for help, after waiting forever for a response, all they did was tell me to check other vendors or contact the manufacturer. These are Nitecore branded products, so it's obvious they just slap their name on someone else's manufacturing and have zero interest in supporting what they sell or taking care of customers. Go somewhere else.
I searched for top-rated headlamps online and Nitecore kept showing up on best-of lists. How is that even possible? The shipping took almost four weeks, customer service is incredibly slow at three days just to get a callback, and when you do reach someone their phone system is awful. I called twice and had the same terrible experience both times. They're hard to understand and don't seem very motivated to help. As for the HC65V2 headlamp itself, it includes an 18650 battery but they never mention that it's proprietary and costs $21.95 to buy extras. The headlamp gets extremely hot while charging and when I asked about it the rep said that's normal. I'm skeptical. Standard 18650 batteries work but don't last nearly as long, and you shouldn't use them on high mode. This headlamp isn't worth the money and I'm working on returning it.
This shopping experience was fantastic from start to finish. The selection is huge and comparing specs between different products is super straightforward, so finding exactly what I wanted was easy. Checkout went smoothly and my order shipped same day. Amazing service.
My first flashlight failed due to bad threading and it was technically covered under warranty, but since they stopped making that model they only offered me store credit for half the original price toward a replacement. That's not a real warranty. The second light just died before completing its first full charge. Then they made me pay to ship a repair part. Every step of the process drags on for weeks too - I pay and then they wait another week before they even send anything. Look elsewhere because there are plenty of other companies making quality flashlights out there. Don't put up with this company's terrible customer service.
I bought three Nitecore flashlights at around $45 apiece. When one recently quit working, I was able to swap parts and figure out the switch was the culprit, which should be an easy replacement. But when I reached out to Nitecore, they told me the flashlight is past warranty, I'd need to ship it all the way to China for inspection, and they don't sell the replacement part anymore. That second option makes no sense whatsoever. Another issue is their 18650 batteries are actually oversized and won't fit in standard 18650 chargers, so you're forced to buy their charger. I picked up three different Chinese flashlights from eBay for $8 each that are over 1000 lumens, and they've lasted just as long as the Nitecore ones with zero issues. For the price difference, Nitecore isn't worth it beyond maybe a toy for kids.
